SBST/LTA don't want to add buses because it is cross-country service. Should introduce 160M from Jurong East Interchange looping @ Woodlands Checkpoint.

Even worse when two buses bunch up... SBST focus too much on 170, that's why 160 so bad...

SBST focus too much on 170X. Even service 170 from Queens Terminal has a poor frequency. I don't have a big problem with 170 because there are many services in parallel that take people to Woodlands Checkpoint and Upper Bukit Timah Road, so it is okay.
With 160 it is an issue because it is the only service connecting Woodlands Road to CCK, BBT, Jurong areas. Furthermore, people who live around CCK LRT and BBT HDBs can use 160 as direct service to Jurong rather than take bus --> MRT.

Aiyoh, 170X demand too much la... The queues at Kranji MRT during busy periods literally block the berths for other bus services... Totally agree on your point about 160 and 170.
Does anyone know how are the City Direct services faring with other operators? I know 513E, 951E and 850E are doing well. I think 982E is doing just okay.

971E is good although i dont live in BPJ. 951E is very good, took it to Dhoby and manage to sleep haha. 963E is moderately crowded. 963R also good too

188R is doing quite well. Can get 10 customers or more from CCK Int, even when 188 comes into the boarding berth just after the 188R...
