SMRT Buses with Refurbishment (Part II)

Just took TIB828L earlier at about 8.25p.m. from Harbourfront Int. I found out that it was refurbished by Liannex, the company refurbishing the O405Gs (except the Volgren bendies). Here are the clues:
1. The air-con vents (including those for the driver) were changed to those eyeball vents found on TIB827P and TIB831B. The aircon vents on the side of the air-con ducts were found with new screws, as well as some of the vents changed to vents with 4 outlets, instead of the usual 3.
2. The bells (buttons) used to activate the 'BUS STOPPING' bell have all been swapped for new ones, including those on the poles and window 'dividers' (though the yellow bell has been retained)
3. The bottom curve of the seat (below the seat covers) have been painted to a very bright (colgate) white, the same as those on the bendies (which have the whole plastic shape of the seat repainted)
4. The roof of the interior (where the lights are located) seems to be gray, not the usual white.
5. The poles that support the doors (and make the doors open and close) are repainted the same grey used on the poles found on the bendies. The doors (on the inside) seem to be repainted (or restickered) a matt black.
Please tell me if the other 1997 O405s are refurbished by Liannex!

No wonder some O405 have darkish grey, light grey and colgate color

WL ones they do themselves, Liannex normally do for KJ ones... Anyway, only left 830D and 832Z not refurb yet, others refurb already...

I think you mean that most of the WLDEP O405s (except TIB425R - TIB441T) were refurbished by Du LexBuild. I'm quite sure that the KJDEP O405s (TIB442R - TIB561E, TIB572Z - TIB634D and TIB798P - TIB826S) are refurbished by Du Lexbuild, since the bells were all retained (only some replaced) and the other things found on the WLDEP and AMDEP refurbished O405s (refurbishment was done at Du LexBuild), but I can confirm TIB828L is refurbished by Liannex. Maybe TIB827P and TIB831B were refurbished by WLDEP, while Liannex refurbished TIB828L and TIB829J...

Those are the ones refurbished by Du Lexbuild and SMRT, since the seat curves are painted to the following colours you mentioned (except colgate white used on those refurbished by Liannex). Du Lexbuild never paint the bottom curve of the seats with a standard colour, not like how Liannex paints the (whole grey plastic shape of the) seats with a srtandard colgate white paint, the colour found on TIB828L...

TIB456B should be re-refurbished by SMRT as well as it has the eyeball ducts and other features found in those O405s re-refurbished in the same fashion as bendies. As for those without OC flooring, if TIB425R, TIB426M, TIB434P - TIB439B are re-refurbished by SMRT (with Priority Seats stickers rather than metal plates found in the later re-refurbished O405s), TIB444K should be re-refurbished by SMRT then.

Oh yah, forgot that the O405s refurbished by SMRT itself with the eyeball vents installed, had special (a bit star-like, but with more edges) screws for the vents, different from the hexagon screws found on the buses refurbished by Liannex. Yep, TIB456B is also refurbished by SMRT, as the air-con ducts were the same dark grey colour as those found on TIB427K - TIB441T and the doors were repainted to dark grey. TIB444K likely also refurbished by SMRT, since the yellow rubber bell has been removed and the black area holding the bell previously was also repainted grey.

I like the 405 moar once they r refurb cuz a/c cooler,
I dun like some 405Gs coz some got "smell" in the bus after refurb
May I know what's the smell?

A/C on some O405s sometimes like so-so after refurbishment... I don't know whats the smell you mean...
Probably a refurbishment smell?

1180 also minory have the smell, almost all bendies with refurb got that smell leh

Is TIB829J refurbished by Liannex (and having the eyeball vents)? If yes, then the 1997 O405s (maybe only KJDEP) should be refurbished by Liannex. I got to check TIB827P and TIB831B, to see if they were refurbished by Liannex. If they are not, then only the KJDEP O405s were refurbished by Liannex and TIB827P and TIB831B was refurbished by SMRT.

I know. TIB831B also got them. I'm not sure whether 1997 O405s will all be refurbished by Liannex. User TIB770T's photo of the interior of TIB831B is not so clear, so I need to check if the features on that bus are all the same as TIB828L (though I can see that the bottom curves of the seats are colgate white). If they are, that means that Liannex should have refurbished both TIB827P and TIB831B, because both buses should be refurbished by the same company.
