Keep it a healthy debate guys. I am happy to read your comments where you think I am wrong. Just that keep it healthy! We don't know each other here, it is a virtual world. So let's not get personal and comment beyond the bus routes.
Cheers!

Svc 5 fleet has changed on weekends. I saw 3 DDs in a span of 30 minutes, when I was with a friend at Tiong Bahru Cafe. Good news for you... :)

I saw a few DDs on 5 during weekends. Who says don't have???
SBST did a great job deploy DDs on 222/291.The DDs on this route are well utilised.

This is new. Even sgwiki fleet deployment is not updated and states no DDs on Sat and only 1 on Sun for route 5. But this has changed this week.

I agree. Esp 291 the DDs are really well utilized and help to clear the long queues. How about few DDs on 293? Would that work too? The queues for 293 also seem quite long.

I don't know about sgwiki fleet deployment but seeing it with your own eyes is believeing.
Anyway, the response of 43A seems good.

Yeah. Just saw SBS3050L getting packed to the brim
Unfortunately, whenever I use a 43 DD, it is always empty :( But I see 3 more new DDs added to 43, making it 7 DDs and also 43A is introduced.
So I am sure, I am always unfortunate to catch the DD at a wrong time or in a wrong area.
Yesterday, I took 43 DD from YCK Blk 138 to Buangkok Green at 7.30 pm - empty only 30 pax. A week before I had taken it from Paya Laber station to Upp Serangoon road, again only 50 pax.
By the way, I prefer to use a DD to a SD anyday - just because it is so grand!!! :D
Consider my Service 117/117X and Premium 444 in the party?

Okay, 4 DDs on 86 today. Hope that more DDs will perm on 86 like last time when under HGDEP..

43's case is, again, AM Peak and PM Peak. Since it plied 2 major MRT Stations, Serangoon and Paya Lebar, and plies neighbourhood areas like Hougang, Sengkang and East Coast and Marine Parade. No doubt that 43's cashcow period is during peak hours and a Luck Factor - for Hougang and Sengkang area, it is about whether 156 is in front of it or not. For Buangkok and Serangoon Area, it changes, to 76 and 70/70M.

It depends on the demand. 86 demand is very high during peak hours.

What??? 4 DDs on 86.. that's news... As of now there were only 2 PERM... Where is the high loading on 86? 70 is parallel to it until Jalan Kayu from YCK and takes most of the MRT load is what I have observed.
Now, there's 4 DDs on 86. Highest loading between Rivervale Drive and YCK Station in morning. Evening is AMK to Rivervale..
It used to have 9 DDs in the past..

It is a good trend to see more DDs added on 86, 163 as they actually cover point-to-point and there are very few parallel routes for passengers. Hence, if a 86 comes full and ppl cannot get in, they have to wait for the next 12 mins for the next bus which can be quite troublesome.
@BusAnalyzer, How about my Service 117/117X in here? How do you like it?
a few years ago the authorities actually approve SBS to operate route 117 to go to SMRT areas, right? but it never materialized
