Buses from Serangoon Interchange don't really require DD - look at 100 or 105 - the bus hardly is standing even in peak hours for SD, then there is no need for DD. But let me correct, 100 does have standing between CBD and Beach road. This is just 20% of the route.Routes of 57 & 131 should be swapped at Telok Blangah way to accommodate DD on 131.What is the loading on 143?
Swapping 57 and 131 will not do any good as Henderson and Depot road have low branches sticking out.

LTA seriously need to consider extending back these services to places like Hougang and Punggol again, if they are serious about improving bus services islandwide.

There are more services affected. 62,81,82,85,97,103,106,111,501,502,511,512
EWL/NSL one even more...
Sv 163 seriously don't deserve DD. It's super under utilized. They might as well throw in SD instead.
I would rather HG throw some SP DD to BRBP and let BRBP use them.
Sv 90 needs DD. Go board 90/90A in the morning from Toa Payoh or sv 90 at Airport Rd in the afternoon and you'll get the answer.
I would like to classify some of the DD routes as per my observation (Please note this could differ from what you think). HL - Heavy Loaded (>80 pax), SL - Seating Loaded (60 - 80 pax), ML - Mid Loaded (40-60 pax). I don't believe any DD should have below than that but for sake of classification (<40 pax) NL - not well loaded
This only reflects major part of the route during peak hours

79 also caters to Tebban Gardens. So for Tebban Gardens (2-3 km route), the whole route should be DD? You will put your company in lot of profit (sarcasm).
You think these few service enough to cater the whole Teban?Teban majority condo and terrace houses ah?(Max Sarcasm)

Don't mind me being frank, but I seriously think most of your so-called observations (more accurately, opinions) are quite unreliable and don't reflect the situation on the ground. I am way more inclined to take carbikebus' word on the ideal deployment of DDs than to take yours, based on my own anecdotal evidence as well as the fact that he comes with a much larger wealth of experience compared to you. Maybe you need to take more bus rides, travel a bit more - in short, open up your world view a little! With regard to 143, I have noticed that it has strong demand from Orchard to the West and vice-versa, so it most definitely deserves the DDs. I am sure there are other reasons to explain the poor loads you have observed on a few situations, such as bus dispatch as well as traffic conditions, among others.

The fact that you didn't classify 28 under HL shows that you really need to open your eyes a little. The loading from Bedok to Tampines is quite scary during peak hours. Also, 154 belongs to L? What about the loading from Boon Lay to NP? And I would like to know what L stands for as well - it's not defined in your introduction. And 95 is L?! HAHA.

169 ??? Should be 168..
Well bro,He didn't take note that with current freq it's a common thing you see some buses empty some half full and some full to the brim.As for 28 it's a very high load svc.As for 95 with freq around 5-7 mins per bus and short routes during peaks how he expect all buses packed at one time?Theres vice versa.95 DDs 6 trips which 4 of them are packed 2 are relax..So I dun see why it can't use DDs..See he kena anal back Liao
154 another combo.BNL to NP got use 154A Somemore what's he thinking? Then from Bt Timah to PIE nvr notice ah?From PIE to McPherson?
5, 154, 166, 174 definately are high loading services.

95 is low and buona vista mrt is NOTHING compared to AMK mrt.

Svc 5 don't have DDs on weekends, but 109 have. Don't know what's wrong with SBST..

L - stands for loaded not low... read it properly first la.. Loaded is around 60-80 pax... And no where in my comment i said either 95, 96, 154 or 166 should not have DDs.
Anyway, good to see a nice debate here.

Teban Gardens got BTO 40 storey flats going to TOP le

So you can have a short route trip. No need full DD route when there is already a 30 and 51 covering the same route till Maple tree Business Center.

I stand by it. Pax at AMK > BNV.

When the corridor does not have a good MRT network, long haul rts would still be needed...
You think the CCL can cope during the peak hrs?

The loading is based on the full route. Not just a part of its route. And hence I put the disclaimer before only that "this is my observation and can differ from yours". And this is a forum, so you are free to put your comments without disgracing someone elses.
Cheers!
