what about dds for 162?
67 cases is more of wrong time run.Off peak is still okay but for peak sometimes SLs play pang one.Purposely drive too fast or too slow. Some hope that SBST svc run along the same stretch of roads to "help".61 from Eunos to BBT seems slight improve.960 more of poor planning.75 wasted resources.10am/pm 8 splits.Should convert 12am/pm and 4 splits instead.Peak hour also some SBST svc help them.77 should just loop at Suntec rather than terminate at MCT.
Take is 67 & 961 is just like 170... Route is pretty straight but mostly plies the big main road..
peak hr either you dun queue up or purposely want ppl to help out, next thing is headways mess liao.. so many buses plying..
off peak is ok, cos traffic is less anyway... headway diff wun be that big.

162 load is not very high for DDs. Which part do you see high loading (>50 pax)?

No la. 135 is Ang Mo Kio to Marine Parade Terminal since 1980s. Marine Parade Terminal closed in 2001, then loop at Siglap Road
Can ANYONE tell me how does SBST decide to choose DD over SD for a route? How is loading calculated?
Many routes we feel need DDs don't really get them. I think if a trunk route has >60 pax in peak hours, it should be a DD otherwise the journey is really uncomfortable and cramped up. Does SBST also review its routes in the same way, and deploys DD?

Why the sudden downgrade from DDs to SDs?
Nice pic of the old buses.

Demand drop

I think its because svc 135 convert to full air-con service

SBS deploys its DDs that SBS likes and deploys full fleet SDs that SBS dislikes :D
265!

At least 961 better than 72. When there's no one at bus stop, ' Stop, open doors, wait for few seconds, close doors, wait for the whole road to clear then can move.
I prefer to take 27 than 72
72's timetable is probably ridiculously lax... time wasting
You should see 178 now after the elderly woman fell.
The bus is so slow now that I had a small headache from taking the bus.
Yet, to illustrate that slow =/= safe, my driver day-dreamed after spending an hour going at 20km/h, and then filtered into the path of a car.
The car honked, he woke up, yanked the steering to the left and mount the kerb!
Now we know how the poor old lady fell.

SBS should revise the time table in that case. Faster buses between YCK and Tampines would also mean better frequency or with the same frequency, can save a bus that can be deployed on another route. Write to them!!

sauces telling me the runtime of 178 before the incident..
woot... the SL just whack at some stretches...
A year ago, when I took the 178 ELBO, I remembered how I was afraid the bus would break into pieces as we went through Woodlands Rd at high speed.\
And the bus was hot and stuffy.
Yesterday when I took the bus, it was still hot and stuffy but at least less stinky.
AND UNBEARABLY SLOW.
