Nikon ads are seasonal which means they are updated yearly, If it lasted half a year that means the sales of the camera aren't that popular enough. Like the Nikon D3100 which lasted 3 seasons, 2009/2010, 2010/2011, 2011/2012, If they still feel that this product is still marketable, They will find ways.
