Haha thats why exactly..No u know what the transport companies here should do??They should take the public buses especially the ones used in india and put them in svc here for one day.Confirm all the idiotic retarded clones here will commit suicide for sure!!

SBST have no choice but to buy Citaros, because, they cant cope with the assemblying of the buses.... they need to assemble the Wrights, therefore, they have to buy citaros.. further i believe mercedes benz offer a good rates for these buses....

Would love for somebody to double confirm it.

So then these are the pointers to rebutt on this matter.
1) Registration date: These buses as mentioned were manufactured only 1 year later, in fact if anyone has taken the ride and interior fitting, a lot of improvements has been made.
2) Why no one realised in Scania's press release many years back that the bodyworks was in liaise w/ SBST. Why would people bother to spend time for just odd small orders to re-design the interior? Is it of any economic value addedness?
The UK makers saw SBS or KMB ordering buses in typical hundreds, it gave them the chance to specify the body for the respective area's ops requirement.
3) Side mention: If anyone remembered when RWS tendered out the shuttle contracts, I remembered someone ever mentioned abt low floor bus requirement...
OK, I remembered saying abt the incline which now everyone's eye can see clearly, it's not meant for Asians actually. So why would LTA want to impose something that both LE & LF has it's flaws which are mutually exclusive?

Words can be taken out of context.

Scania only offers its DC9 Diesel engines at 270hp rating with Euro 4 emission standards. Sbst could never have ordered a batch of E4 K270UB after its E5 K230UB, as this would be going backwards in terms of emissions standard.
Fact: http://www.scania.com/Images/P10910EN%20Truck%20and%20bus%20engines%20Sep%202010_210291.pdf
Well, all I'm going to say here is that it's a damn good thing the bunch of K230UB's went to Changi to do the Budget Terminal to Terminal 2 run - as recently as November 2011, they used high-floor buses, which are a pain if you have bags.
Otherwise, I prefer drop-axle floor - think VO/LO.

This is not logical AT ALL.
How can LTA ban LE buses juz becoz they got steps, or not full low floor and stuff?
THEY WAN KILL SINGAPORE PUBLIC BUS TRANSPORT IZZIT???!!!!
WAIT... now it hit me...
Izzit LTA wan limit to make buses smaller, so as to encourage ppl to take MRT instead?
laugh
It's ridiculous, primarily because as long as you have the engine, you cannot have 100% low floor.
Also, all hail B10M MkIV.
next time ban bus with loud air-con noise and rocking body as it is dangerous for old people can fall down on the bus.

Define 'rocking body'.
And how the **** does loud air-con endanger elderly people?

try taking a KUB out of CGA. When it turns at low speed, it tilts and rocks side to side. There u go.
Loud air-con noise can result in high vibration, which makes the rocking even worse. Also, loud air-con can make elderly lose hearing.
I sense someone grasping at straws.
Why don't you just give up your seats to the elderly so they can sit down and not fall out?

Only if you can find a free seat first! SO CROWDED!
You never hear the KUBs ROARING outside your house??

You dumb or what? I strongly believe the tilting is the air suspension trying to self-level the bus while it is turning, althought some KUBs are indeed not that perfectly level.
As for the rocking, when you turn at low speeds at CGA, wouldn't most of the times the corner where the bus is turning having road humps? Then duh, the bus would rock because the bus is going across the hump diagonally, all 4 wheels touching the hump at different times?

U not happy about not getting a seat, then go and buy a damn fucking car of your own for god's sake..If not just shut the fuck up for at least once for the benefit of everyone here and live with the public transport system here. Its not like as if u will die without sitting on the bus.. =.=
