  Yeah i also saw them 2 weeks ago when i passed by there.Their SMRT logos seemed to have been pasted over with some black sticker.Wonder what is that for??

  De-registered =/= lay-up. Unless the lay-up is a different type of lay-up.

  De-registered buses does not mean it will be sent to scrapyard direct. It will be parked in their depot for weeks if not even months. I'm referring 'lay up' as the bus is laid up in the depot itself, not official lay up.

  Oh, ok.

  But to your post, you said TIB362M was laid-up a few weeks ago, which could be even before it is de-registered.
