Accident and Breakdown Thread 2012

Pardon me for late posting.
SBS9688H on service 89 met a hit-an-run accident on 02.04.2012 at around 3:30PM. Rear wheel body stripped off and considerable damage to wheel chassis. It met an accident outside Hougang Mall Right after Hougang Ave 10 intersection. It is famous for accidents to happen there since stupid taxi drivers all cluster at the left lane, which the bus usually drives on. Most probably the vehicle that hit it is a taxi. What's more, I'm on SBS8616Y on 325 that is infront of the trident. The Dennis Trident then stopped moving and did not countinue driving towards Opp Blk 521 bus stop. -
5 April 2012 (Thursday)
TIB932T (AMDEP 961) was spotted with engine cover opened at the bus stop in front of Block 608 along Yishun Ave 2 at around 1243 hours. Operating service unknown.

2 CW1 bus broke down at Kranji MRT Stn cocurrently...
Everything whenever there's massive jam at CIQ, CW buses sure got 1 or 2 rosak on the road one.

Whenever the buses are diverted to use Woodlands Ave 3, 160/ 170 MKIV can easily overtake the crawling and engine roaring CW1 bus at the upslope...
Which is why sometimes CW1 bus do the u-turn at Kranji, alrdy it's illegal still want to do when the bus no power no speed...

Some drivers use breakdown triangle, some switch both signal lights or breakdown signal lights(for newer vehicles) & some do both to indicate vehicle breakdown

SMB 95L (AMDEP 851)
Broke down opp Bras Basah Complex bus stop. Going back Yishun. Around 3pm++. EDS off, triangle is placed. Bus obstructed the whole bus stop as it is parked in the box, thus other buses had to do turn out to other lanes.
SMB 79J (AMDEP 851)
Broke down / suspected something happened at United Sq bus stop, also heading to Yishun. Around 5 30pm or so. Derbits of unknown stuffs found below the bus. SMRT lorry at site.
2 851 broke down on the same day.. suay

A SMRT bus mowed down a boy from a neighborhood primary school as he was crossing a road junction in Woodlands this afternoon (9 April).
According to eye-witnesses, the bus was making a left turn at the junction when it knocked the boy down. It is not known if the ‘green man’ was flashing at that time.
An ambulance arrived minutes later and the boy has been sent to the hospital. The nationality of the driver is not certain at this moment in time.
As of now, there are no reports on the accident by the mainstream media yet.

Boy injured after being knocked down by SMRT bus
SINGAPORE: A nine-year-old boy was injured after he was knocked down by an SMRT bus on Monday.
The accident happened at 2.55pm at the junction of Woodlands Drive 63 and Woodlands Avenue 6.
The boy, who's conscious, was sent to the KK Women's and Children's Hospital at 3.09pm.
SMRT said it is in touch with the boy's mother and will be assisting the family in every way.
There were 28 passengers on board bus service 912 when the accident took place.
No passenger was injured.
SMRT said the bus driver has been suspended from duty.
Police are investigating the case.

Anyway, TIB1109Y was the one. Accident believed to happen that the boy dash across the road(even though it's red men, and vehicle traffic is green, which most S'porean does) and the driver didn't notice it. -

No matter what if you struck the pedestrian down you are at fault. I hate people who suddenly dashed across the road w/o looking for oncoming vehicles. Sometime i feel like going down and slapping the fella but thats the life.
Drivers can only LLST. Pedestrians are king of the road even if lights are not in their favour

It won't be on lay-up. Looks like something similar to 456B's accident last year. Just missing for a few months, and will be refurbished. Lucky this bus didn't get the new interior yet!

Yeah but 536D use mobitec EDS,suspect new EDS and it will be refurbished as well
