Passengers forced to evacuate from bus with smoking wheel
STOMPer Suresh says one of the wheels of the bus 169 he was riding in started emitting smoke, forcing passengers to be evacuated.
The STOMPer wrote:
"I was travelling on bus 169 today (Aug 28) at about 1.30pm when all of a sudden there was the smell of smoke.
"A man approached the bus driver and told him there was smoke coming from the wheel of the bus.
"We were somewhere along Sembawang Road at the time, near a construction site.
"We all had to alight and board another bus.
"It was just a few minutes later, another 169 came.
"Most of us boarded it. I glad that we did not have to pay extra cash for the other bus.
"I would like to thank the bus company for doing a good job in handling the situation." -

SBS 7681P met with an accident with a mini bus at jurong town hall road. The SBS bus seems ok but the mini bus hit a lamp post and the driver got stuck inside.

SMB201Y broke down at Bukit Panjang CC bus stop. Just left int not far broke down already

Today, services plying the slip road from PIE to BKE has to redivert and ply
Jln Anak Bukit, Woodlands Rd, Dairy Farm Rd and back into BKE.
Services affected : 960, 190, 961, etc...
NOTE : Heavy Jam along PIE towards Jurong.
POST NOTE : Road diversion DOES NOT AFFECT CITY-BOUND TRAFFIC.
POST POST NOTE : ISSUE MAY HAVE CLEARED. -
yesterday evening, SBS2809Y and SBS7445E were spotted on tow back to AMDEP at around 8pm....

Yesterday: SMB82Z broke down at United Square bus stop while doing 851 at around 1pm. The rear engine lid was open, all doors were opened (with the rear door half-opened), and all passengers were evacuated. The BC was nearby, talking to probably the HQ on the phone, with a bag of KOPI in his hand. O.O

SMB73A (AMDEP 851) broke down at b/s 54019 (Aft Blk 304) alg AMK Ave 6.
Spotted with rear engine cover opened at TMI & EDSes were switched off.
Time of spotting:1154hrs

SBS9824G brokedown at Tampines Library bus stop..

SMB255S brokedown in the middle of road junction, where svc169/903 used it for entering WRI(turn right>>). Caused a major jam.
> Svc 912/901/168/161/962 have to follow their "B-sign" traffic, and making a "snake" turn.
> Svc 964/900/969/965/913 turn to Wdl Ave2(where 169 turns out to AMK) to make 1 big round by turning to Wdl Ave 9, entering to Wdl St 81 and come out back to Wdl Ave 2 before making a left turn to Wdl Ave7.
> Svc 965(Special, only spotted 1)'s TIB474Z turn into St 81, and to St 82(using 911 route). and skipped 1/2 stop. Bus was heading to Sengkang.
> Svc 911 have major frequency issue. Random 911E bendy was spotted turning from ave9 to st82 instead.
> SMB255S was fixed around 7:06am, on the spot with SMRT tech. -

SMB133K was spotted on tow at Woodlands Ave 9 at 1918 hours on Tuesday 11/09/2012. The front part of the bus below the windscreen (where the logo and rego plate was) was gone.

SBS9315J (BN 5) broke down this morning 7 am at Safra Tampines bus stop. There was a crowd of passengers at the bus stop as a result.

TIB481 tyre burst at Upp Bt Timah/ Standard Chartered Bank. Tyre bits and pieces scattered on entire road. Right rear tyre involved. Everytime 228 opens mouth sure got something -ve occur to O405.

9625P knocked into 6082A rear bumper and glass.
