Sometimes, we may think that why bus routes with low passengers demand can have DD when bus routes with high passengers demand only have SD or bendies. So, this is created for all of us to share. You can even cross over SBS buses and SMRT buses.
For me, I want 28 to have bendies, cause during school peak hours, alot of student is taking the bus. And when people board a DD, they likely to stay at lower decker as thery only take a few stops. Then when the people board a SD, it will be too small for all the passengers to board. That why I THINK bendies are the best for the route.
Hope you all enjoy this topic. Feel free to provide your bus model as well.
Wth, since when does SBS Transit have bendies now? Only smrt has bendies, SBS's sold..

Which is why he states that SBS and SMRT buses are crossover-able...
For me,I want...
-852 to have bendies
-66 to have DDs
-157 to have less KUBs and maybe a few Wrights
And since we can cross-over buses...
-14 with bendies
-185 with U31RCNs(so that it doesn't get all the 'new' buses).Thus,852/178 gets the Sunlongs
gd idea, but i dun tink tt's possible now tt sbs won't want bendies anymore and the probs of re-registering(?) or something may occur. It's only something we can dream about

852 bendy? Haha. Waste of fuel I must say. Tell me where along the route does 852 has super high demand? Along Lornie Rd must bendy? I think rigid is enough alr. Some times 852 v low demand... So are feeder services going to use rigids when it is super high in demand?
157 less KUB and Wrights? The topic here is types of buses for routes, not models. At the end of the day, a O405 or a KUB is also a bus. z

WAB buses have different number of seats from non-WAB buses.
I am of the opinion that Sv 109 could use some double-decks during peak hours... because the passengers are loaded all the way to the entrance door. Just 1-2 double deck(s) would be great.
45 MUST GET DD

But if only the route doesn't have DD restrictions.
188, 190, 851, 960, 963 should have Super Volvo Olympians....
961 should have a few bendies.
67 should have full fleet bendy.
172 should be half fleet bendy, half fleet rigid.
700 should be full fleet OC500LE.
75 should be full fleet DAF.
857 should be full fleet OC500LE.
307, 911, 912, 913, 962 should be full fleet bendies.
980 should be full fleet bendies on Sundays and Public Holidays
7, 10, 14, 30, 31, 74, 88, 133, 143, 147, 161, 168, 196, 197 should be full fleet DDs.
139 and 145 should have a few DDs.
135 should be filled with bendies.
138 should be filled with KUBs.
238 should have bendies.
176 filled with DAFs.
160, 170 filled with DM3500s.
Full fleet DD for 51, 56, 97, 99, 198.
61 to get full VSO fleet.
57, 59 to have bendies during peak hour.

Disagree for 188. 188 got quite a high on-off load, more suitable for bendy. But 190 and 960 are good for DDs because its more of intra-town, like few people alight in between.
12 - More DD to replace the KUBs
27 - Bendies
36 - Bendies
48 - Add a few DD
969 - DD
961 should have bendy during peak hour, There alot people boarding it during peak hour.
My observation:
Service 74: More DDs should be used due to the major traffic with school students (SP, SIM, NP, NJC, HWI)/ If possible, Full DDs fleet...
Service 243G: Add DDs (1 - 2) or cross over from 243W
Service 198: This one, quite okay... but then quite packed also...
Service 269 & 261.. Good golly gosh.... Maybe 1 for 261 and a few for 269 like the olden days...
167 should really get bendies, Since the crowd for the peak hour is always FTTM one. 178 should get full scania fleets back.

157 can replace KUB with Wrights, provided if it is very crowded on a KUB.

Can also. With more Citaro's, you can expect less overcrowding (edited from 'with distance fares')

We will have 'Quarterly Review of Bus Services' very soon - March 2011.
Quarterly Review of Bus Services
SBS Transit will be identifying heavy-usage bus routes, deemed for conversion from SD to DD during the day shift periods. They are 12, 48 and 157.
SMRT will add more bendy buses to route 961 and make 190 and 960 full fleet of bendy buses.
