Execution/ Summary of LTA's bus service review

  OK finally to start w/ 3 SBST svs.

  30th Jan phase

  Sv 76: Amended to become Yio Chu Kang - Marine Terrace (Loop) service. To skip Marine Parade Rd (Marine Terrace - Victoria School) stretch.

  Deleted sector to be covered by Sv 135.

  Sv 315: Amended to cover Serangoon North Industrial Estate (S'goon Nth Ave 5). To skip 2 existing bus stop along Ang Mo Kio Ave 3 (Blk 516) & Yio Chu Kang Rd (Opp Gracehaven Salvation Army).

  It'll call the opposite direction bus stop along S'goon Nth Ave 4 as well (Blk 537 replacing Blk 530) & (Opp Blk 506A to replace Blk 504A MSCP).

  New service rotation: S'goon Nth Ave 1 > S'goon Nth Ave 4 > S'goon Nth Ave 5 > Ang Mo Kio Ave 3 (Blk 554) > S'goon Nth Ave 1

  Sv 410G/ W: Amended to serve Marymount Rd (Marymount Station), Shunfu Rd, Sin Ming Rd (Sin Ming Plaza for 410G).

  It'll skip the Upp Thomson Rd (Lakeview Estate) bus stop pair.

  At last a bus service into Shunfu estate.

  It has been around 20 years since there was a bus service in there. The last one was the old service 138.

  But I feel that SBST can extend 76 to Kembagan MRT and loop there, giving commuters a direct link from Marine Parade.

  There isn't really a line that draws between Serangoon North and Ang Mo Kio Ave 5 industrial estates, unless they want to build a main road.

  Looks like LTA had screwed up this route, while 76 and 410's amendments look pretty ok.

  shld merge 268 wit 315 or 315 wit 325. I like those SBS concept of merging feeder svc to trunk svc.. =)

  Let's shall wait and see SMRT turn to improve bus svc now.. So fat they had only detour 853/858 to KTPH..

  Those planners think their method is e most tested and comprehensive.

  They're not the ones operating, wat they know abt these svs being used to be feeder svs.

  The ones not operating e svs are being the ones imposing the fare

  Nice that sv76 loop at Marine Terrace...
  but then again buses will be reduced
  sv43 will be crowded[from sv76 crowd] > DDs will prob be introduced
  
  Glad that Shunfu Estate will have feeder service...

  doubt so.. cos the demand from marine terrace to siglap road is very low.

  the main loading for sv 76 is from paya lebar MRT to parkway parade.

  The only thing e most is SBS & LTA gotta watch out is after school demand at VJC, Victoria School tat side..

  otherwise shouldn't be any big problem

  got so many services down there to Parkway and 2 to Paya Lebar.. no sweat la...

  Paya Lebar to Parkway ve sv43,135
  If passenger walk to Tanjong Kantong Complex ve 197 , 853[weekends]
  In the evenings, there are 2 sv135s every 10-12mins...

  How bout Sin Ming Rd near LTA there?IIRC CSS605 use to ply there right? Hope 315 will get perm DDs soon.

  The purpose of amendment is to mainly serve those HDB areas. Regarding going to Victoria School, people can take 13 instead.

  155 43 and 135 goes to paya lebah...43 follows the route of 76 until boundary rd...shouldnt be any problem...
