Would it become a bigger reality to see Enviro 400 and gang in Singapore?
tis is just a 'idea' thread.. nothing serious one
Maybe to Enviro 500s, NO to Enviro 400... I dun think SBST is gonna purchase 2 axles ADD... And I would love to see Enviro500s on the roads of SG :)
I wanna see E200 on our road too. More varieties, same as HK.
Cheers.
Enviro 500 to replace the air con double deckers.
Enviro 200 to replace the Dennis Darts.
Is this only limited to UK bus manufacturers???
Was thinking of midi
As for Enviro 400, for routes like 249

Don't think they are getting anymore 2 axles double deckers.
Does this currency exchange only benefits the UK bus manufacturers???
cos UK Pound devalued lots.. While Euro and rest remains stable.
Ok.
Let's hope that they can be materialised..

It will also have to depend how long this devaluation can last. If years, maybe SBST should take the advantage. If it is short term, then have to see the timing.

dun you realise it's a overall trend
1965: 8 pound = S$1
1990s: 3 - 4 pound = S$1
now??

All right. Thanks for the info.
But it all depends whether SBST wants to take the advantage of this situation. Even if the pound has been depreciating, I don't see that SBST buying bulks of the Dennis Trident back in the late 1990s.

Given the Tuas line extension, it may mean that there might be a downgrade to single deckers, mix with some double deckers.

you may reduce DD, but horse can't run to e face deploying 3x ADD is not economical esp during off peak hours.
Tuas South still not getting MRT any soon.
Neither is e bigger parts of Jurong
