I'm guessing they will have the same inward opening doors as with 136C - the plug doors will interfere with the exterior door controls, given its location is directly to the right of the door.

Looking forward to that too, haha. but i still hope they will be used for intratown/neighbourhood operations and not be sent into the city. DDs are still better when going into the city by allowing more buses to call at a bus stop at a time.

joey, i understand your point, but as far as all seen examples of Citaro with "Higher-Height" doors, they all are sliding plug doors. Notice that the rear door on the batch 1 Citaros is taller than smb136c's.
Do take a look at a example on youtube (you might need to enlage the video to see it clearly) on a Citaro G with inward opening doors at the front, and sliding plug doors (of a taller height, same as the new batches of Citaro) at the mid and rear doors.

Also, note how much faster the sliding plug doors are compared to the inward doors, or the current plug doors on all transit buses in Singapore at the moment.
