New integrated transport hub at Hougang

Hougang Town Centre will be getting a major upgrade. River-front public housing and an integrated transport hub with bus interchange, shops, and private apartments will be built, reported The Sunday Times.
The site will be launched within the next three years and will be comparable in size with Century Square in Tampines.
The 2 other HDB towns to get upgrade are East Coast and Jurong lake. The Govt will spend about $1 billion to upgrade these 3 towns
