I m quite disappointed wit some of the bus svc wit lesser bendy bus operations. wonder y SMRT do tat. Not sure is it due to lack of bendy bus fleet or lack of parking space.
61 - lesser bendies that initial deployment
851- lesser bendies due to WAB deployment, (i suggest WAB bendies)
857 - wkday pm peak bendies depolyment disappear since AMK ctrl some of the fleet. wonder why AMK nv deploy bendies on wkend s well.
856, 184, 960 - no more 100% bendies deployment, even though with some regid camero once in a while in the past.
859 - bendies only operated during wkends (not sure abt wkday am/pm peak) since diverted to Sembawang Int..
171 - no more bendy bus opeartions, only in history to b the 1st to b deploy on bendy
980 - camero once in a while, compare to former 160 which hav more bendies during wkend.
Wonder y SMRT don hav FIX bendy bus deployment for its svc, unlike SBS, full day/daily doubel decker operation despite lesser commuters in some period of the day/wk.
A dwindling pool of bendies to satisfy a growing demand for higher capacity for some routes leads to this..
think... SMRT areas are generally young estates, eg Sembawang, bukit panjang. more n more ppl are going to live there. so more demand.. so need to pinch bendies from other services.

Most of it's fleets are bendies though, only 1 rigid as split, 2 as full day starters. except for sunday it will get a fleet cut. 960 and 184 I'm not sure whether or not it deserves a fleet cut.
980-wise you should take a look on weekends. They deploy full day or T-shift bendies on 980 itself.

sv960 cannot afford fleet cut; it shld in fact get fleet add due to its demand.
sv184's demand usually comes when there is sch for SIM and/or NP, where bendies are used.
otherwise, sv184 can use rigids.

Do not allow SMRT to bid for running of new bus services until it bring in more buses. I am disapointed with the operational frequencies and capacity espeicially 106, 61 and 970.
Actually those Feeders and Intratowns need not be 100% bendies.Example 300,can cut 1 bendy replace with a rigid,Ditto for 800,913.SBST Feeders/Intratowns also majority rigid fleets.1 800/804 bendy can xchange 1 to 1 with 171 SD/857 SD.1 913 bendy can go to 980
Somehow I felt that newer fleet model of buses have lesser seats than old models. Bendy buses are usually noisy and rockier. I just dont like it.
962 also dont need bendy most of the time. Dont understand why they need bendies when rigids can handle it. Unless peak hour, but even peak hour, 1-2 bendies can handle alr.
if nothing is done to e dispatch of WDL feeders, e bendies are just useless and space consuming esp at Woodlands Centre bus stops.

980 has bendies to serve on weekends (T or full day). Spotted 978L carrying full load at about 10pm twrds SBW today.
851, i see OCs most of the time, lesser bendies. Only one or two do full day, the rest i think do S shift.

Service 851 all these while had the same number of bendies even before and after OC500LE deployments. The perm OC500LEs on 851 only replaced all the rigids in 2009 (except TIB798P).
For service 980, I would say that once in mid 2000s both AMDEP and WLDEP were generous enough to deploy about 7-9 bendies on Sundays. In the past service 160 had only 1 bendy doing only PM shift, sometimes 2 bendies. No more than that.
For service 857 with lesser bendies, think AMDEP should high time train some of their drivers... Service 859 was indeed a bad move, all the bendies were withdrawn and replaced by CAC 0405s ever since WLDEP took in more 0405s from AMDEP in 2009.
Most of former AM 965 SLs still don't know how to drive bendy yet? But last year got 1060C cameo on 857.
AM 61 side keep on downgrading from bendy slot to rigid slot. High chance the 1131G empty slot will be taken by a rigid, most likely Lance cameos. But IMO, 61 needs more bendies during school days to supplement the crowds. Insead, AMDEP had made a wrong move....

Rather, seems like service 980 had more bendies on sundays from WLDEP side ever since WLDEP took back 4 full duties from AMDEP since last Oct. Are those SLs formally from 857 (I believe those SLs from 852 are not trained in bendies at all)?
I remember correctly that service 61 suddenly had a downgrade from bendies to rigids ever since Mar 2008 when WLDEP took over from KJDEP. And when KJDEP took back 61's duties from WLDEP last Oct, all the unassigned KJDEP OC500LEs went over to service 61 perm (which was slightly better compared to WLDEP with only 0405s).
Perhaps service 61 was slightly better during SBST days, more ADDs could be deployed then.

Not forgetting the 2 61 bendy rule going over to 67 while 61 gets any of the 2 rigids from 67.
