OK
I admit, been taking bus rides to do spot checks on scheduling
Ytd's
Sv 961: Kranji - Queensway. FAIL!
The schedules make it from Blk 185A to Anak Bt in 12 mins. Anak Bt to Coronation in 6 mins!
All the funny things occured: tailgating, failure to look out creating near accident (epic, speeding and want to rush to keep up w/ schedule lor), failure to slow down way before approaching bus stop (macham wrong speed, slow down also will overshoot if ppl flag).
By Coronation, bus lambat by 7 mins
Today's
960: Kranji - CBD
Bus arr Kranji early by 10 mins. But arr Blk 270 5 mins behind schedule.
The prev bus was just in front of this trip
Safety hazards spotted: Raining yet travelled at 65 - 70kph on BKE/ PIE, tailgating (lack of situational awareness + raining factor <can brake on time safely?>)
FAIL

Due to jam at somewhere else?
Dunno is it me or wat
SMRT SL love to use blast e horn along Woodlands/ Upp Bt Timah instead of slowing down.
But the speed is like ai mai ai mai, you can't even stop in time w/ tat kind of speed.
Taken it 2 days ago:
TIB566S on 187 WRI to Block 320 Jurong East
Departed WRI at early by 1 to 2 mins. But arrive at my house in lambat by 5 mins.

now, approaching bus stop can't be done w/ 60kph on those bus stops along e main road.
wat if it's close to last min approach flagging n there's a bike/ lorry tailgating? sure buang
If the bus speed, how come still got lambating? Stick in the jam too long? Or SL depart WRI very late?

tat's why tis thread is for
You sure can be done in 14 mins from Kranji MRT to 270?
reminds me of Sv 151's off peak schedule
even though Dunearn Rd jam (SCGS aft skool) + Woodsville flyover, the bus only lambat by 2 mins upon arr POSBank

did you even state the time that you travelled? how can people consider about the travelling time if you miss certain details? which bus? block code/duty number? mind adding in those details?

I would catch off peak hr ops... if off peak cmi, dun nid to say abt peak hr.
I've best dun indicate block no, else next thing SL kena.
It's best to get those who plan such schedules to face e music. I think same goes to those inside some govt dept...
maybe a poor driving attitude, leads to a high accident rate, and also higher deterioration of bus engines and condition, and hence, high costs ,poor profits for its bus divisions?

I think e biggest problem is scheduling.
suka come 1 schedule, SL bear the burnt.. later kena QoS summon this and tat.. later langa tio charged.
but yah, SMRT screws itself up. Tat's why making losses.
The scheduling for SMRT is sibei luan.
And last night's night-riders were all over the place, and the BCs don't appear too sure of whether to drive fast or slow themselves.
To the credit of the PRC BC who got me home last night, well, at least the first half was steady and slow acceleration and braking all the way to make sure we don't fall. And he did try to make sure as many people could take his bus as possible.
The same couldn't be said for the one that just skipped clarke quay although there was space aplenty. tmd. I made sure the assholes who didn't move, and the BC saw my finger.
And bendies just added to the woes. So much for "faster unloading". Not only did it create a miserable jam, but some pricks tried boarding for the rear thinking the BC was blind and each bendy got stuck for considerable amounts of time.
Amongst the Night-riders, I should point out that NR1 and 6 have the most irregular frequency, and that's probably due to their routes extending into Sentosa and MBS.
But the night-riders on the whole, lose out to SBST when it comes to efficiency (nite-owl).
After so many years...you would have thought the situation improved.
Couldn't be more wrong.
And I've been hearing horror cases of NRs getting lost.....and pax getting hollanded in the wee hours doesnt sound fun, does it?
some others
177: This service has no proper schedule. The SL would take a 2 mins break at BPJ before heading back to Bt Batok.
I've noticed at 1 stretch, headways can be as long as 30 mins.

Today TIB837K SL blast horn at a car driver, because the driver stopped his car outside the Boon Lay Int traffic junction due to red lights and blocking the buses. TIB837K was going to turn into Boon Lay Interchange that time with about 5 or 6 more buses behind. All jammed buses horning at the car driver.

It was only 1 car that block all the 5 to 6 buses that are to turn into Boon Lay Interchange including TIB837K which is on 187. Not that car park although its another mess.

Hahaha you should do more spot check on SBST bus schedule to tally with your nickname la brother. We already know SMRT is farked up so no need to spill more oil into fire
3 trips
858 CGA > Jln Kayu: 60kph on TPE, but OC no where good, very unstable/ vibration while climbing flyover. Safety distance kept
171 Orchard > KAP: SL beri nice, waited for everyone to alight. No chionging
67 7th Mile Market > Rail Mall: Raining, chiong! Didn't slow down at bus stop esp those located along road itself (passengers no time to react).
*This 67's MKI bendy ride happened to see railing- less holding at the articulator standee area.
The way 67 bendies drove along Beauty World road diversion is like sooner or later will get side swipe accident.
