An accident happened between an OAC with Fisherman's Friend Pro Fresh ad featuring Dai Yang Tian and an adless Volgren with Mobitec EDS at Blk 270 Bus stop. Both are on OS. No passengers were on board. Tow trucks present at the scene at 11 23 Hrs. (OAC may be from 190 or 966. Volgren suspect from 190. [If from 190, it's the only adless volgren; TIB966X.])

TIB566S is going to be scrapped from the look of it at BKE just now. Whole bus 90% burnt down, leaving only the front and side SMRT logo panel, almost like TIB1110S.Had to say this bus will burnt one day as what i thought, which already happened, due to its very hot rear inside. Somehow this bus is the hottest is Scania fleet.

Oh my.... This bus just got refurbished isn't it? Sad.. I hope SMRT will step up their standards on bus checks, is has been quite a number of buses catching fire and over heat.. SBS Transit should ought to do the same too so that no bus will catch fire esp WEGs!!! Total no as its such nice buses in SG. :)

pls do not keep saying that the bus does not have enough rest. how much rest u need? everyday, let the bus be on the road just for one hour? or work 2 hours, rest 8 hours?

With that kind of operating time are you able to take it?
Imagine with that kind of operating hours plus the time clock back to depot already about 1+ and need to start trip plus move out time already less than 5 hours. Already 961 last bus both AM depot duty block I feel sorry for these buses not because they come back tired but because they have to start trip very early granted each duty block has different timeslots to call quits but 5.5 hours to 6 should be enough

then like that ask SMRT to buy more buses... put one batch of buses just for AM shift, then the buses will go back depot rest till next morning.. put another batch of buses just for pm shift... really cant understand your logic....
buses are meant to be DRIVEN for LONG HOURS... the taxis also almost on the roads for 24 hours everyday.... even new cars can get burn not because they DO NOT have enough rest... it is most likely due to some electrical faults.....
if you are complaining about sv961, then why i i did not see sv170 buses get burned?last trip from larkin at 0030hr, reach Queen Street around 145am. go back BBDEP at 2.15am. START new trip from BBDEP at 4.15am to start trip at Larkin at 5.20am. So less than 2 hours rest for Sv170 buses...

SBS545X(502)Broke down @ Jurong East Ave 1 & JUR east st 21 junction.
Before that:
1-Stopped unexpectedly along Orchard Road
2-Slowed down & stopped before ERP @ MBS
3-Came to a complete stop in the middle of AYE
4-Went to shoulder lane to let engine rest or something
5-Call from HQ or something to investigate
6-didn't move from junction Toh Guan Rd & JUR East ctrl
7-engine gave up;BC announced breakdown.Unidentified K230UB & 9121B at the scene.Videos uploaded soon.

SBS 7425M (AMDEP 76)

The 2 buses are TIB529A and TIB967T.
TIB529A kissed into TIB967T rear, but not much damage. Both buses got broken windscreen and abit of dents. -
TIB1220H was involved in a near sideswipe accident on 67 near Little India Station with a car. Went off service after that, but resumed service later. Police was seen at the bus too.

SBS 9632T (AMDEP 168)
Broke down at Jln Kayu towards Bedok.
Pax transferred to back bus which was 9638C.
Witnessed 1710hrs, 9632T off svc-ed to AMDEP.
Dont think it was engine problem or anything. -
