Took 7344M on sv14 this afternoon, heard the engine sounded abnormal. It sounded like a voith, not zf. I though this bus is supposed to have zf? I alighted and heard the engine from the outside confirmed it is a voith. Got the signature whining noise.isn't only 7401-7449 voith and the rest zf?
On the topic of CDGE B9TLs, got on 7370L on 14 also, and it was vibrating like going to fall apart. Whatever happened to those quiet and smooth B9TLs of 2007?
SBS7342T - SBS7346H, SBS7403B - SBS7447A has Voith, the rest has ZF.

Some B9s supposedly have ZF, but when it accelerates and gears up, it drags a bit more, and really sounds like a Voith. This happens to some of the AM 72 B9s i frequent.
If you want the smooth B9s, could try the BR 88 or BB 147s (with the loud roar of course)
