The maximum speed limit for bus is 60km/h in Singapore, including when the bus is travelling the expressway.
Can you drive?
I thought max to the max it's 90 along the e'way? Seen buses breaking the 60 limit before.

All those speeding is not even allowd - dun get into accident or else....
buses in singapore do feel slower than buses in hk, which accelerate from zero faster (yet stable, i don't know why singapore can't do it).
the one recent time i felt a bus was fast was hispano bendy on 67 at 11.30pm along bt timah road. felt like 70 or 80kmh.
yes, our buses are slow.
no matter how clear the road is, they have to follow schedule. hence, ppl rather cab/get their own vehicle.
i ever give way to bus at mandatory give-way bus area. the bus like don't want to come out. want to waste time at bus bay.
come out already, still drive slow. all 3 cars behind me and myself switch to middle lane sama-sama.
and they're having more give-way to bus areas.
slow bus rides are like... one in ten for me ah.. so it's fine.

added at kee siao rate
next week another few more bus stop pairs gets it.
In any case, not every bus stop in the stretch would get the scheme. Those with buses turning right aft this stop are less likely to get it i.e. CCK Rd opp Phoenix Stn where 190 & 975 turns right.
do you drive instead?
I'd love to someday
is it considered public system?

I agree...
the main culprits for slow buses
Time scheduling......
seems that its always the companie's or their employees fault
