115 withdrawal has been approved by LTA and PTC. It was not withdrawn because a MP stepped in to stop the withdrawal.

Anyway, anyone knows the full routes of the services?
If i remember correctly, 117 route is very similar to 147 from Hougang all the way until PIE.
Anyway, people already suspected SBST will not be able to run 117 then as they were very lack of bus captains and buses. By the time the PRC BCs and the new buses came in, their application already lapsed.

QoS kicked in. I think now lagi cannot, Nex Int screwed big time

If 115 is withdrawn, people might complain. It serves convenience among Hougang South areas even though the frequency is about more than 15mins (only 1 bus run-by)
115 as u said... is just a convenience service, not an essential service..
poor frequency, limited operating hours, presence of alternatives (81 113)..
anyway, FYI, 115 is a "goodwill" service. probably its ops costs are written off first thing every month

Ya, QoS is one big issue.
117 if operated will not stop inside Nex Int, so no matter how screwed up it is, it doesn't matter.. :p

ya true.. haha..
speaking of which, this reminds me of 128. The pax load for this service really cmi last time (now not sure). SBST wanted to withdraw this service, but couldn't because of one obvious reason... haha
So wat the reason for not withdrawing 128??

hmm.. 128 is a very special service if you know what I mean, and do you know which smart alec came up with this idea?
If you think it through, then the reason is very obvious.. hehe

LTA is the smart alec?
128 should make it a semi express service like fast forward service. only a few key bus stop along the way include some stop at Toa Payoh Lor 8 where 238 is, Lor 6 and HDB hub at swimming pool nearby Courts like 57, skip the novina and newton and stop at along orchard road like the old 140 and 168 use to be.
eh
128 is not empty during AM peak. Esp at DBG Stn.
128 is alrdy semi express, wat more do your want?
128 in any case is a non QoS cushion service under duplication of MRT service framework
That's why I said "last time".
A few friends and I did some survey on all the 8 bus trips everyday for a week, and guess what? The maximum number of passengers for each bus trip can be counted using all our fingers and toes. That was when 128 was still serving Toa Payoh. To make it more attactive, 128 was amended to skip Toa Payoh altogether. Never did survery after that, heard the demand got improved.
128 of course has to be non QoS cushion service else SBST will not have run it. The authorities have to give it also because of that "smart alec"... haha

This should be the first flop from this smart alec. Wonder how many more damage they will do if they take over the bus planning operations. Commuters are already unhappy with the multiple transfers they have to make now. It is the over population problem and they still don't want to admit it and yet side stepping it with these ideas.

Well, they can re apply again if they want but they should re route some parts to avoid the duplication with 147.
