Does SBST sold our ex WA Mercedes Benz O405 to Thailand for a new life instead of scrapping them???
A picture to show. Credits to Bangkok Busboy.

SBST managed to sell off some of their buses after all, from the "Used Buses for Sale" website.
Hope to see Thailand bus companies considering to buy over the next batch of SBST's DM Mercs as well as Volvo MK3s too lol...
Bus interior pics from the same website...

By looking at the 2nd pic, the bus windows have rounded edges. I wonder which of the SBST's CAC bus is that.

The position of the exit door should tell you that CAC is not applicable for this bus.
I do hope SBS 73R was resold rather than scrapped, otherwise all those money spent on refurbishing it will be gone down the drain.
The ex-sbst WA merc that is now in thailand is the one with TV mobile due to the speakers
not all WA mercs have TV mobile isnt it ?
so i am guessing that the bus was from AMDEP/BRBP last time

It is a CAC.... This is how I judge:
~ A/C ducts
~Windows
~This is what u might miss out : The design of the granny seats, WA Merc got no step to rest ur legs, but CAC has.....
~Also, the door is not that close to the entrance [WA styled]
I would say probably it's a CAC....
Seems like our WA MBO405, especially the seats, air-con ducts, and also the TV mobile speakers. But they manage to replace the 2 rows of left side green seats with 3 single seats, got space meh?
Cheers.
Exterior looks totally different. Interior looks very much the same.

didnt realise there were 2 units serving with BMTA.

oh... ya hor
WA merc got no step to rest the legs coz it's curve right ? (due to wheel part)
shld be CAC... the exit door looks CAC-ish to me
compare WA merc/DM OAC with DM CAC exit doors... they r different actually
remember the exit door of DM CAC the black thingy at the middle is thin as compared to others (thick)

You are right. But exterior is a WA, interior seems DM.
Cheers.
i think the 2 buses are different
one is WA & the other one is DM CAC ?

This might be a CAC, look at the air-con compressor on top. OAC and CAC got different cover. Tha's explain the curve corner of the windows.
Cheers.
or maybe there are more than 2 buses at thailand ?
maybe the interior photos is not 538-24 or 538-25
we'll nvr know u see

yup
so there are at least 3 ex-sbst merc in thailand
DM CAC featured in article. Looks like they had to rebody the rear too!
Now we know that the WAs have been rebodied into 2 different designs. Photo from above link, by Phong_ae
