Hi all
I was driving along CTE while I saw a new unknow SMRT bus model plying on CTE. May b heading towards AMK or WLD depot. Guys, pls find our more during the upcoming depot tour...

Should be either this bus [ZhongTong, registered as SMB137A]....
Add on: ZhongTong[SMB137A] is not registered yet.

Possibly u saw the ZhongTong.... Coz, it kept running from AMDEP to WLDEP....

No. its another new bus. I saw it while driving on the CTE braddell flyover section. the bus ply pass BISHAN depot=D

It may not be this model, but I will leave open the possibility that SMRT may be buying/testing a Scania bus.

The problem with SMRT is that they're unsure which model suit to their operation needs beside MB.Ardy several SLs complaining that the 7litre Citaro are slightly underpowered when travelling a slope with full loads unlike their O405 workhorse.Probably a 12 litre one suit them?I got a feeling that the Zhongtong will not stay long at SMRTB just like the Yutong

Well, SMRT might opt for the 12 litre engine , OM457hLA, instead of the OM906hLA for the upcoming Citaros [TBC].... Talking about Citaro, let me guess... SBST is gonna take the 7 litre option? :D

SMRT has plans to bring in MAN. Maybe it's a MAN demostrater. Maybe.

If that's the case, they can use the demos on BPJ, CCK, BBT, YIS, WLD.
