The bus has been impounded by the customs
They are stong enough to hide theit illegal stuffs....
this is not the first case
If i remember, in the past, there had been even a illegal migrants clinging to the base of mk 3 but get detained by ICA - thanks to an alert BC
This is in BusWay.
really amazing... how the driver load them all up? and how is he going to unload them?
think on the way to kota raya he turn off somewhere to meet the supplier..
but i think this is not a one-man-job
I'm not surprised at all,There are many smuggling cig cases involving both 160/170 BCs whether open or hidden ones.An ex-170 BCs friend say that he done it upteen times before being caught and get sacked/fined

there are a lot of roads in JB which is ulu.. I did see one Sv950 bus turning into those small side road after turning out from the checkpoints (not the usual way to City Square)... Can just park somewhere to load these.... but in broaddaylight? and how he going to remove it in Singapore? do it at Jurong East interchange? not that easy also. he was caught in broad daylight.. if he is driving the last bus, then might be easier to load/unload...
Is there a chance that SBS Transit will get the bus back after the investigations are completed?

Well, there are not only a few JB registered buses in SG now.. So, the bus that is hauled for inspection might stay, and SBS Transit might deploy a standby driver and a spare JB bus to run 160....

crooks are the smartest humans in the world.
similarly, law-abiding people aren't too bright
Somebody can board the bus and take the cigarettes down and drop him off at a bus stop when the BC is going off service to depot.
