  Hi,

  Any1 receive any invitations from SMRT regarding the a/m issue?

  Don think I b going..

  Anyway I hope u all guys can help me ask the followin questions at the depot:

  1) Does LTA bans bendies? If no; when SMRT will buy new bendies again?

  2) Will SMRT plan to buy Citaro bendies?

  3) When will the next batch of citaro arrive?

  4) Will SMRT plan to replace citaro with the hispano O405 in 2 yr time?

  5) I hope to c the interior of woodlands depot! (pic pls)

  Its a "private" open house.
  
  You need to be "Friends of SMRT" before you gain admission for the tour.

  You'll have to go down to the SMRT headquarters to request for the form, fill it up, and mail it back to them. Then, in a few days- a few weeks time they would send you your FOSMRT membership card

  i Did receive an email regarding this, but the content is strictly confidential. i was told the invitations will be sent out To all FOS Members Next Week. 

   

  1） LTA Does Not Ban Bendies (Information From Friend, Who Father Works in LTA)

  2~4) I Have No Idea

  5) Strictly No Photography or Filming allowed During The Tour. As People Going for the Tour have to pass through Checks From TransCom. if u want pics, u can get from a friend who went for the Tour, But Dun post Online, SMRT Do Know About This Forum.

In addition, FOS is currently organising a visit to Woodlands Bus Depot on 26 Nov and the invite will be sent by next week. We understand that it is better to organize the visit during school holiday. Thus, we can look at the one week holiday in XXX.

  
  

  By the way, as you might be aware, we only organize visits for FOS members and would like to check if all your friends are FOS members. Otherwise, we can send them the application forms and get them registered before the visit so that we can bring them to the visit too.

  Its It Free. You Have To Go Down To Their HQ At City Hall, Fill in a Form, Give it back to Them (Or mail back to dem) It will take at least 1 month To Process (Unless Express) as SMRT have to check ur info and den Send it to TransCom for approval before sending u the Card. (Mine Took about 2 months).

  Q1 has already been answered - LTA doesn't ban bendies, it depends solely on the operators whether to purchase them.

  Shoot them question on buying WAB Bendys,Tell them to scrap the first batch 425-490 O405s,Elbos and UDs and buy more MAN WAB buses.Less bendys for WAB ones.Again shoot them for Kranji and AMK to move to a bigger depot to improve and introduced more bus services.

  the first batch of O405s won't be going out that fast though, 17 years haven't use up you want them out already.

  UD-wise, Don't worry still a ? whether or not they live up to the 2 year extension, If have issues atmost sent for lay-up, along with a speedy-deregistration like the SBST mercz.

   

  and also ask if 178 gets 368Y 185P and 1255H for another 18 months though.
