Periodic maintenance by ST Kinetics. And this is the sole MAN bus in the fleet. Not many people knows how to really maintain it well. The last time I took it, it was running well, and that was when the bus was bought.Bus should have been under AMKDP, since they had a MAN bus before. Same for the B7RLE, should have been under HGDP, as they are better in Volvo buses.
Agreed. Sometimes, I just really wanna laugh at SBST for their deployments....

I might be wrong to say this but, do take note.. The perm SL of Citaro cleans the exterior and interior everyday w/o fail... And, I hardly see anyone eating or drinking too....
It might be the depot management... It can be commuters as well... Not being biased here but, if I were to compare, I would say that both the commuters and depot are at fault too.... The depot is to ensure the interior is clean and pleasant to commuters... But judging from the OCs, I dun think SMRT really did a good job...

The SL loves his job.... That's why Citaro is so well maintained.... Look at the rear, the "engine cover".... Still white, not that dirty.... Not trying to be biased here, I really wanna take off my hat for the SL....

Yeah I took his bus a few times already and am really impressed with his upkeeping of the bus. While waiting for the Citaro to arrive for joyride (after checking the YIBP roster for timings), I saw that he arrived early for his PM shift so that he can clean the bus when in the short break duration before his first trip.
And to go on to clean the exterior.... I think maybe he stayed back after work just to do some wiping in the night in addition to machine wash. Kudos to him from me too.

Good. Now bring in more of these from non-WAB routes, and make them perm on this one. And when the production Citaros come in, make them perm on it too. And make the buses more frequent. Then make it a WAB route.
Otherwise they will never live it up to SBS Transit's Scania K230UBs at Changi Airport, and you will have people bitching about long waits for this route's buses.

I actually do not like WAB on 858. Not sure if anyone shares the same sentiments but putting a OC on 858 means the more pax from changi have to stand for at least 35 mins. And in addition, they are limited to 60kph where compared to o405's 65 to 70kph, which might be another reason why the wait gets even longer.

Thats why SMRT put 1 after and before o405 buses.

Agree with you. Its like OC on 966. More people will have to stand all the way from Eunos to Woodlands....
Another example will be OC on 700.... off peak hours everyone gets a seat if its CAC or OAC... but 5 - 10 end up standing because its an OC!
Posting here don't make me feel safe with SBS8049J around...
