How does the SBST Volvo B10BLE CNG with EDS look like???
They should install EDS on all the buses mentioned..
How the Volvo B9TL will look...
I would say installation for CGDE B9TL isn't a good idea... Cost, maintainance of EDS... All these need money u know? So I rather SBST use desto rather than EDS... Reason being it's cheaper, more durable and also, bug-free.
So what will happen if a particular CDGE B9TL with EDS happened to have it's EDS corrupted? Like I said, desto can be used for years... Remember those old destos with destination indicated on the desto itself? It's still around! EDS? I think CDGE B9TL looks nice with desto... No EDS please.

Nice job! But what will the color of W be for 243W? :)
Cheers.
Use desto better

White.

Acrylic plates are cheaper and it is dead. nothing is needed other than a holder :D
As demonstrated on the Batch 3 Olympians, SBST will only bother to fit an eds big enough to go into the existing desto slot. Therefore your text will be puny. Even the K230 EDS is larger than the LECIP.
Maybe they might try modifying the slot to be bigger?
I doubt they would hollow out space for the eds.
Forget retrofitting EDS into older buses, it's not worth the hassle. Anyway, they will be too small, making them pointless.
I honestly feel that the old plastic signs are better. There was a very good reason SBS held onto plastic destos on production fleets all the way up till 2006 with the CDGE B9TLs. It's cheap, nearly failsafe and legible.
However, it would be nice if the destos were white-on-black or yellow-on-black, would be more readable.
There is a very very simple reason why SBST changed their decision of using normal desto plates when designing the K230s.

If i am not wrong, it would be difficult to change the desto plates in a low-entry bus.

Highly likely, since it's much higher; on the other hand, rapidPenang used a desto slot on the side of the front windshield next to the door, and that worked fine.

:) But the thing is if they can put desto why not? As the director of VisionSG Group of Companies i go green, so only my K230s, OC and my citaro will get EDS, as they were designed for it. :)

find some ladder to climb and change it :P

Which is why eds is used

Well, then that logic could be used to support the use of automatic WAB ramps. SBS went for manual ramps.
So SBS should use ladders to reach the desto, since ladders are non-motorised, non-electronic hardware, just like manual ramps.
xD

Doesn't mean it's the best option.

All buses are suitable for EDS, just that some might be smaller... Because there is not enough room for the EDS.
