What has Jetstar to do with Singapore buses?
I am not a local Singaporean, but everytime i go there, i become annoyed of the full buses and these untrustfull schedules.
I hope it is becoming better with these new services...

morning or evening peak?
Would SBS be looking into stepping up 119's freq in lieu of Sengkang LRT's capacity issue now? lol
e woes is on 11/10/10's ST
Problem is not many people take 119.... they still prefer the LRT?
Or is it because the frequency of 119 is poor?
In Bukit Panjang.... 920 and 922 fully utilised during peak hours..... tried the LRT once.... you are kissing each other with your shoulders....

119 is low demand to begin with. It's just tat SBS made it QoS, to me it's a token.
In any case LTA is looking at making all Sengkang & Punggol LRT trips to go double carriage in lieu of HDB devt.

The problem with 119 its just like another chicken or egg problem.
If SBST have good freq for 119 in the 1st place, more ppl might actually switch from LRT to bus since 119 brings ppl to their door step.
The problem now its that SBST is unwilling to up the freq for the svc because of low ridership. But what they dont realise is that the problem of ppl not taking 119 is actually of the long freq.
So, shld they wait for ppl to take the bus then up the freq or up the freq and attract more ppl over onto 119 is a question that we will never know.

Well the demand has alrdy been low way before QoS kicked in and am peak freq has remained ard 10 mins all these while.
it's only tat there's better sense to provide more trips within Sengkang during peak.
Wahahah..
Sv 402's OS schedule reflected on e-guide for e first time..
ish add 1 OS right?
Some of the chicken-and-egg services I feel are 13, 93, 115, 162, 506, 518, 852 & 855.

thats always the problem of "goodwill" services
119 heyday freq never exceeds 10mins and lots of DDs...
after all the hue and cry settles down..... thats what you are seeing now...

Well it depends.
like 13 from Bishan to Potong Pasir is so much cheaper lol.
506 is getting popular during peak hours.

low demand service?
OT: 856 has their fleet add earlier on, benefit from the recent deployment exercise.

it's whereby its in a catch 22 situation...
say 506, ppl know it's faster to Bt Batok Ctrl area. But since freq not as good as 985, pax mostly limited to Bedok Reservoir or Toa Payoh New Town pool, not much of Jln Toa Payoh x-fer pool.
but too frequent, not assured of better ridership.
