Ya. I can't believe that Nissan Cedric (Both CDG and SMRT) also has speed limiter (100km/h).

I saw one SMRT bus on PIE on Wed go 90km/h on 1st lane just to overtake a trailer. Bus OFF SERVICE.
I remembered that time early in the morning, i took a lift on my dad's car and happened to see TIB794A on BKE, 2nd lane, with a speed of approximately 82 - 85km/h.

Seems to be alot people with "big cannons" recently, none of smrt's automatic gearbox is tuned to even hit 90km/h.

how fast can 1 trailer be moving?
Originally posted by kengkia:give them more breaks and profits for SMRTB drops, then how to finance their pet MRT railway expenses?
the root stems from the greed of upper echelons of SMRT in whole.
seriously SMRT's losses is all created by themselves.
continue on squeezing schedule and buses keep on lambat.. cannot meet QoS and keep on pay OT for exceeding shift hrs.
if it's not efficient, no matter how much they try to fill e leaking holes, it's useless.
TIB798P was the one

how sure it's 70-80kph?
speed is very relative once u're on a bus. It's unless u know e speed u're travelling then you can predict the other vehicles' speed.

I still see 798P live on 167 with silver rims on tuesday, if I am not wrong.

I sat on my school bus around that speed leh

Seriously if the trailer is speeding is at 70 - 80kph, then tat SMRT would be travelling at a even higher speed at 90 - 100 kph in order to overtake it fast.
if so, all wait to get caught nia.

So, you are saying:
1. Your school bus is speeding at around 70 to 80kph.
2. The trailer is speeding too at around 70 to 80kph.
3. The smrt bus is speeding even more at 90kph.
4. And from what you have said, the smrt bus is travelling on lane 1 to overtake a trailer. so the trailer must be on lane 2. And since the smrt bus is overtaking the trailer and not you, and you can see all of this happening, you must be on lane 3. In conclusion, you are saying that there are 3 heavy vehicles on PIE speeding between 75 to 90kph on 3 lanes.
Something wrong here?

How do you know its 90kmh?You got a speed detector?I used to overtake heavy vehicles on centre lane with speed of 70-75kmh only before going 60kmh on the left lane
I believe by now majority SMRT buses is capped at 60-65 the most,The rare one is 70,WT the SL can fine tuned themselves but meter showing 45kmh the most ditto for SBST EB buses
From what i know TP already stop issuing class 4 conversion for foreigners beggining this year regarding to many accidents involving them.Imagine Burmese driving class 5 dump truck speeding to earn more trips,Indian national rushing with their 14foot lorries to ferry fellow workers from places,Chinaman driving private buses rushing here and there and all Thanks to generous Gahmen and bosses.Luckily Taxis still retain Singaporeans if not the road will become chaos
Indeed there are many foreigners drining the buses nowadays.
Probably due to the long working hours? Or long route? And no public holidays? Than shun the sporean from taking up the bus drivers?

The rare one is still TIB794A, which chiong at 82 to 85km/h at around 5.45am on BKE. My dad's car was around the same speed as the bus and we took a minute or so to slowly overtook it since there were very few vehicles...

I not sure if your refering to split-shifts, but i do hate working as split shifts. My work place as waiter also had split shift work, sometimes stretching to 8hours in total. 10am start till 3pm off, 5pm start till 11pm. Seriously tiring.

Agreed.
I really feel sad for these drivers though, especially the S-shift starting from my side. Have to wake up damn early.
