So who says e SMRT OC500LE is user friendly? System wise, had forseen will sooner or later kena complain one
In ytd's evening paper.
1 auntie complain tat e OC on 171 are not user friendly, as in not enough bus stopping bells.
SMRT insist it's enough.
Let me say tis, it's all because the bells are fitted to e side. Issue is not quantity, it's location. Vs location of bells inside e KUBs.
For tis, OC500LE is clearly the most un-user friendly bus all thks to e bell location. Standee no bell to press.
It's just like insisting everything on CCL's dwell time is OK until they forgot it's a driverless system (EWL/ NSL can ting dong on commuters before some lag time to close door, you think can be done on CCL)?
So does tis mean that SMRT should install more bells?(very early refurbishment?)

in e first place, why it's fitted where standee cannot access?
Sometimes the side bells aren't even working...

maybe... but that doesn't qualify as a refurbishment exercise...

economic cost?
'aiya, small thing, dun bother la, not worth e money as if revenue will increase like tat'
SMB40U had its 3 seat cushions replaced to batch 2 ones. nice effort KJDEP (:

i think more like this is too minor to count as a refurbishment. more like an enhancement if they ever embark on it.
all along SMRT buses.. and the SBST's mk4 Soon Chow, very few bells (all at the side)
after so many years, did someone complained!
few bells also means few grap poles for standees... all must grab the overhead poles
s'poreans can nvr be satisfied even if there's 100 bell presses onboard..
next time just shout to the SL to indicate that you wanna alight..

in any case KUB has 11 bells vs OC's 15 bell.

tis time round is really design flaw.. never plan properly

seriously if they wanna enhance, replace e poles to macham KUB style w/ better grip.

some buses can live without a bell.. ahhh... drivers usually see people walking to the front they know he wants to alight
zzz i was hoping for the Scania Kub to be complained...
Its got complained before last year about the vibrations in the Straits Times (tell him go ride the Ks)

So?
At least everyone could get to school to work on time.
Not some ninja planned bus schedule also.
Buy Citaro, bus packed like siao, ppl still cannot board all e wat's not. Cannot provide silver, trying to provide a gold.
The silver includes simple things like the location of the bell
reminds me
If there's an engine, there must be vibration. The vibration has to go somewhere, else it causes engine casing fatigue (total breakdown).
So if Citaro is claimed to be quieter, it's obvious there's some sort of insulation? Does it mean it has to be maintained/ replaced regularly before material fatigue occurs?
If one complains abt vibration, it's as if there's free lunch.
too bad for that auntie to ride on a Batch 1 OC. too bad that she is not quick enough to look around for bus stopping bell to press. must be the type of last minute then press bell people. still dare complain.
frankly speaking, i felt that those stopping bells are indeed a design flaw..
oc kena comprain once nia, dunno how many times that suck cock k230ub kena comprain riao hahahahahaha :)
vibration, heat, jerk etc etc. wads that to compare with a mere bus stoppin button sia haha
