  Wanna see the Mobitec EDS though, will the route number be programmed to the kerb side, or to the standard data used by most Mobitec EDS uses now (offside).

  if land space is the issue, then i think our govt and smrt should consider building a bigger multi-storey bus depots on top of the current smrt train depots. this can even replace some of the current bus depots to free up valuable land for other commercial use. likewise for SBST. A good example would be the NEL train depot. i believe a multi-storey bus depot can be built on top of this train depot to replace either AMDEP or HGDEP.

  Unless SMRT replaces the engine with a stronger one, I can say that most probably it will fail the trial.... Not even 7 litre and is only 220hp... Forget about talking about the 44kw motor... When it goes up a gradient or a steep slope, it definitely needs more power...

  Well well, before the bus gets bashed into bits and pieces before it can even come out of the depots for revenue service, i would kindly like to point out that the sunlong that sbst uses has a 6.7liter engine, 10 more hp, and also a 44kw motor. The gearbox should also be a similar unit by eaton. This is very much similar to the zhongtong.

  i saw it on thursday at Kranji Road, going to Kranji depot at around 3pm.. even though it is registered, there are still trade plates at front and back of bus....
