this move might be initiated by LTA. After all bus planning is now under their control and JEMP is after all an LTA project.
I think that is only partly one factor since the shortworking trip is so far implemented only by SBS Transit. Perhaps they realise an increased number of demand due to the MRT disruption plus the fact that commuters are more willing to take these SWT due to the implementation of distance based fare system.
I think they realised there are ppl who know how to move ard w/ e alt bus svs... as shown for e Clementi one Sv 99 & 185 to Jurong East Ave 1.
no 157A being spotted NOW. Spotted 3 DDs running today (not full fleet) 9077, 9132 and 9196
All of them should be QoS runs from standby buses then. In such case, you will only see them closer to evening or night time.
The real catchment at Bukit Batok starts AT NIGHT!!! See how packed 157, 187 and MRT shuttle are. But there was wrong move for SMRTB to downgrade the fleet for 187 and let 1063U and 1170T go cameo on MRT Shuttle..... Yes, SLBP 157 had 'koped' LO3x perms from 154, but what a disappointment from BRBP side, STILL deploy full SD fleets.
But afternoon got less people taking them lehx. In my opinion, they should have let some buses rest at Science Centre Road, this can help to save fuel on travelling with an empty bus.
OT: MRT Shuttle uses mixture of rigids and bendies (mostly from WLDEP and AMDEP)
66C is a scam lol. anyone seen it? 174A only started at about 11.30 and 157A at 1pm. (estimated departure from boon lay)

thats good. people from bukit batok need to go to boon lay as well bah .. instead of off svc back to int , still can pickup pax and go back, help its parent svc ..
what would be interesting if it made its loop at bukit batok int and come out to do the other direction haha ..

A bunch of lazybones.(For those taking 157 and 187) All can walk dont want to walk. Walking solves the issue afterall if they are living in the 'entrance closing to BB, or nearby, Ofcourse I dont expect people to walk from batok to panjang/WL.
Anyway, 178 not affected, As usual some indian nationals took that service only to alight at the exit of AYE turning into coporation road.
Its funny how they implicate 187 when there might be more pax den usual taking the service today.
Maybe tml they will deploy lesser bendy buses for the bridging service.... since some commuters happily commented via TV news that there were not many pax on its free shuttle today...
157A & 174A is mostly in e afternoon when demand is higher.
in some cases, e SMRT staff at BBT are still telling ppl to take e free bus when they're indicating they're heading to Boon Lay.

seriously, where's e 60 - 70 bendy buses going to come from?
I think 66C is more of standy de.

What do you mean by "a bunch of lazybone for those taking 157/187"? Care to explain?
