More buses needed!

the Jurong east station alway jam with ppls!!
The downtown line 2 only ready in 2015, the jurong east id alway jam because it pick up ppls from 6 large estates ( jurong west, jurong east, bukit bakot, CCk, bukit panjang, yew tee, woodland ) why no pack !! So many ppls!!!
express Bus only 190 in CCK to orchard (have to pick up Bukit panjang), bus pack haven't reach bukit panjang.
the special bus only one trip, never mind only shewton way, it is enough?
should have more special Bus may follow the new downtown line, bus stop follow the downtown line 2 , reduce the bus stop can help speed up the traveling time. if you take service 67 you need more time to many stop slow down ....
if they have bus same as downdown line 2 will help to reduce the jam . my girl can reach school faster so is me to bugis less jam less stop!
I need to go Jurong East , I hate very morning pull long face.... I want to be happy and relex going to work!
So disappoint with LTA !!
Increase the train ride is too late .... it may be danger travel to close, increase train may also increase fare ?
if not Manpower should set different working hour .... cut working to 40 hour aweek, so I start late, I no need go work at 9 am, 10am train not so pack !
there alot of thing GOV can do but ....

wow wow. Nice English There. Anyway. You think it is that easy to get more bus services running? Well JEMP is already there to reduce the traffic Load At Jurong East. 22 New Trains Were Bought & they all need time to be done. Both SBS Transit & SMRT are Short of Buses therefore they cant start new routes. SBST is so short of buses until they have to extend the leylands that were suppose to go. ordering and delivery of buses takes Time you have to understand that. You cant possibly want 250 buses and it will be delivered right away. Increase in the number of trains and better signalling(Even though it takes very long to upgrade) would be the best solution now. and think if manpower change working timings den wouldnt all the company's follow den wun The trains Still be packed??? Wouldnt The peak hour follow as well??? Nothing can be perfect so is singapore's govt. compare how much passengers can a bus hold & how much passengers a train can hold? of cos the train is more reliable

it's obvious you've not been noticing how unreliable e MRT train is getting.
even LTA concedes if really die die, more buses are needed in tis coming 8 yrs.
Dun get you. Getting 250 buses, drivers is way faster than getting trains and signal upgrade which will take 4 - 8 yrs to complete.
Little to wonder why e NEL procurement is not fixed yet.

also... for now it's better for some corridor w/ say bus svs from Bt Batok > say Dover than using e MRT.
MRT can't replace buses everywhere and it's costly to build everywhere not to mention e needs to walk and x-fer these days.

I already conceded that I have to go home by walking though, and it isn't far off .because 1 243G is already damn packed like sardines, and 243W in the mornings. Unless you take the last bus, if not you have to face the crowds.

As PBS resources are very tight, I don't think LTA ever allow premium to serve Bugis, because these PBS trips are taken out of other bus services heading into heartland near 8am and would otherwise be underutilised on normal routes.

Take 190 change 960. Faster way to Bugis and Little India than 67. Alight at 1st stop upon reaching Bukit Panjang to get a seat. =)
Anyway, no choice de lah. Nowadays transport operators privatised liao. Need answer to shareholders.... All they do is maximise passenger loading for maximum profits. -
Another problem,Singapore is getting too crowded with Foreign talents and new citizens.5 plus million for a tiny island is too cramped already.Even Johor only have 4.48million.

That I agree. My Friend Who takes 243G & 243W is always late for sch bcos its too packed and she cant board.

if ppl say 243 is too packed, sometimes ppl aren't really moving in..
take a look at e mess inside NTU Sth Spine bus stops bet 6 - 7pm.

My Friend has to wait for the 11th Bus den she can board on 243W IN the morning. thats how freaking packed it is

Common for students to study in a non-neighbourhood school these days, I have seen people studying in Woodgrove sec before from my side. Have to wake up early though.I can feel for your friend, she has to wake up early in order not to stuff with people.

past few days noticing no packed 243 buses ard 0730 arriving BNL Int.. freq is like 2 - 3 mins.real packed buses are seen on 79, 179A, 251, 254, 255. Ppl on these svs really squeeze
