Do you think we need RWS services in Chua Chu Kang and Bukit Panjang?
As there is a FREE shuttle service to RWS, do you think we still need 188R and 963R?
noo..it's a waste of buses...i rather take the train to Harbourfront then taking 188 or 963..It;s faster that way.
lol rws give free shuttle take la
Is there a need for you to post this question here? Are you the first time here?
Yup... I have seen lots of commuters boarding 188R and 963R on weekends....
188R and 963R usually comes 2 mins before 188 and 963 appears after a 12 minute wait.....
So 188R and 963R can be real packed at times...
Its a SECRET! LOL...

And u can see 9 out of 10 will alight at Vivo instead of going into sentosa.
ingenious way to earn money. If this continues they wont withdraw the 2 services so soon.. lol
188R is faster if wanna go from CCK to vivo... and don't forget 963R still got to go woodlands, at least with the shuttle at bukit panjang will ease the load from 963R, but even that.. 963R seems to be the slowest
dun forget when the svs were launched, SMRT was RWS's first partner.
Even w/o e free shuttles (there's getting more and more, eating into SMRT or SBS's MRT revenue sooner or later), 188R & 963R can gain for Vivo crowd.

RWS free shuttle 'Choa Chu Kang & Bukit Panjang' route frequency is every 1 hour interval (daily)
Express 188R & 963R frequency is approximately 30 – 40 minutes (Weekends & PH)
Which ones you choose??

Haha... I have to take 963 to Bukit Panjang Plaza to take free RWS service.... I would take 963R straight.... LOL... I got a feeling the free bus will be scraped instead. LOL...

RWS. reason being 1 hour intervals is easy to know/calculate its timing once u know its start or end times.

If you notice, all RWS departure timings from housing estate are very nice to remember. Not like some weird timings of :25 or :35 of the hour.
Except a few shuttles which departs at avery :10 of the hour.

Of course i know the timing, i have the shuttle bus flyer
OS: I guess they very rich, keep repaint & repaint the shuttle bus flyer (4th times already) when they into new bus service to housing estate or town area...
At least these services serves places like Bt Batok, Woodlands, Clementi where RWS shuttles doesn't operate.

of course RWS have the money. 1 day earn S$5million. What is cost of providing free shuttle buses and reprint the flyer? Let say operating cost of 1 bus = S$2000/daily (including petrol/salary/depreciation etc etc), x maybe 10 buses? one day cost S$20000. What is this compare to the S$5million in profit daily? Small peanuts to them esp when there are some persons who can lose S$25 million in three days?

sure not free bus will be scrapped?
i think its more like ignorance that leads to the blossom of 188R and 963R
free bus + comfortable seats + cold aircon + express
VS
paid + hard seats + sauna + turtle speed + ninja drivers
anyway, some of the shuttles had their frequencies improved to 30mins (from 1 hour).
on top of that, at least 5 new routes were launched quite recently

True.. Poor frequency... Most would rather walk across to the interchange to take the bus... rather than wait 30 - 40 mins.... and pay more....
963R can have empty buses back....
188R is different story. Confirm got people board at IMM... unless 188 happens to come earlier... but most likely the rigid too packed... so commuters got pushed to take 188R instead.

they can also take IMM free shuttle at IMM, then go to jurong east, then take the RWS shuttle.
Furthermore, u onli need to pay sentosa admission fee and not the bus trip
Can 963R overtake two 963 buses throughout the journey from WRI to RWS (and vice versa)?
