LOL, this incident also reminds me on the SAME case, it was SMB106P ON 188 turning out of the Choa Chu Kang Int also nearly knock down a man at the traffic crossing (it is the bus fault). If I remembered correctly it was on last saturday at about 4pm.

skali the one that blackerol saw its u the one that nearly kanna knock down :| oops
Yeah sorry, it was at the junction opposite cheers, I was on the bus and the SL rammed hard at the brake.
Well, at least the bus driver tried.
Three bus length away is not a great distance.
That would be about 60 - 70m away.
If the bus was moving at a great speed, and you still proceeded to cross with the bus not too far away, you are challenging the bus driver.
The bus driver expected you to stop or dash across.
I myself when driving have come across pedestrians who think the zebra crossing is a magic crossing, they just cross without watching out for on coming vehicles.

no matter anybody was crossing the road at the time or not, its the responsibility of all drivers to slow down while approaching junctions or crossings. But i am not those who will slowly and happily cross the zebra crossing while pissing off drivers
something tat I do not understand abt most SMRTB, they dun want to slow down before hand at junction turning points.
Not to mention a near accident some 3 weeks back at Bus Int end on berth.

Hmm.. Which location?
That day at kovan mrt bus stop, got this bus conductor holding a speed gun checking on the entry speed into the bus stop of incoming buses. He stand there so obvious, of course all the bus drivers can see him and slow down a mile away.
Might as well make him a permanent feature, then all buses sure slow down one.

Its the other side, heartland mall side, not the simon road side. So the road is going upslope, not downslope.

Kovan heartland side bus stop is an obvious upslope, if you put a marble from the taxi stand on that side, it will roll down towards tampines road.
