Hi all,
This may be quite irrelevant to what you normally discuss about, but it's on buses, so i thought it is appropriate to post it here. Anyway here goes:
1)Was walking home from the 24hrs food court just beside choa chu kang bus interchange. (about 2145 - 2200 hrs)
2)While crossing the road (Bus interchange exit where many buses will come out) on a zebra crossing, saw a bus 188 approaching from quite a distance.
3)I proceeded to cross at normal pace, but i sense something wrong when the bus had no signs of slowing down !
4) I was shocked and stood on the zebra crossing while the bus passed me by an inch, and i realized that the bus driver did not even notice me.
Just to share with you guys, to be really careful while crossing the roads, especially if big vehicles are passing by.
Must be an FT driver.

Not sure about that though, but i am sure the driver was not focusing on the road, or even feeling sleepy.
You were crossing when the lights were green for the bus, and red for pedestrians issit? Or you crossed at a non designated crossing? Your account is not detailed enough, you only say you were crossing the road, thats very vague.
hmm u jaywalking ...
and bus juz zoom past u
so who at fault?
TS jaywalked but that doesnt mean the driver can knock into him and claim innocent.

but TS said he crossed at pedestrain crossing lehx... But TS no state pedestrain crossing is green man or red man...
maybe if pedestrian was a chiobu wiv miniskirt....bus driver wuld have stoped bus at a safer distance away...maybe advise which are the best places to cross.

then wait for ts to clarify it. but that bus driver either not alert or becos ts is not a chiobu.

Haha.. my mistake, i shouldn't have said "pedestrian crossing". It's a zebra crossing, just outside the 24hr food court. It's a designated crossing without traffic lights.
wat colour clothes did you wore?
at night leh... visability would not be as like e day

Safest to cross only when the vehicles have stopped, especially for heavy vehicles such as prime movers, buses, class 4 lorries etc etc. They tend to have a lot of blind spots.

I think bus driver maybe too tired and not enough rest, or he thinking about his family and children
reminds me
whether gotch ppl or not, always slow down at crossings.
yes,,tired witht he yog stuff and he prolly had to cover up for other drivers...knows most of them get up at 3am and work until 5pm as i saw their schedules one morning....

Right, but still not an excuse not to slow down while approaching zebra crossings.
7th month pls be more careful.
anyway, whenever i cross zebra crossing, i always wait for the vehicle to stop 1st then i cross. Safer.
