I would say its a nice idea. However, who is going to fund this project? A brand new prototype built from scratch and involving such machining and requires 3D engineering precision drawing, would easily draw up a 4 figure sum. Main factor: Cost.
If bus companies are willing to fork up some money for a trial, then this could be worth trying out: Modifying the door mechanism on the front door, such that the opening of the shelter would be in sync with the doors. Reason: By keeping majority mechanical, you reduce the risk of breakdowns by up to 50%. Electronic sensors, actuators(motors and cylinders), are super costly and expensive to maintain.
on paper its good, but its unfeasible
Hi everyone, thanks so much for the valuable comments. It's very valuable to my whole group as we need all these feedback in our report.
BUT.
Haha. It would really help if there were more positive comments that are cited by you guys cos most of the replies are towards the negative side. Haha.
I'm very appreiative of everyone taking time off to reply here so if you do have any comments (hope its more positive so our group not so demoralised) haha. But yeah, ADD ANYTHING YOU WANNA SAY! :D Thanks!
