No Boarding/Alighting point-Correct. Can be done 1 stop before/after the ter/depot.
New Bridge Rd-Usually alighting is done at the entrance of the terminal. And since NBR is a terminal with no boarding berths, so, Boarding is done just outside the terminal itself.
Ang Mo Kio Depot & Soon Lee Depot Bus Terminal is directly inside the terminal.
As for the other no boarding/alighting terminal, its plainly that the terminal only has parking space for buses with a small control office.
For the former Admiralty Rd West Ter, it was directly opposite of the boarding/alighting procedure of New Bridge Rd Ter (which means that only boarding purposes was allowed at the terminal)

Marina Ctr is because it's a roadside terminal so it's more of safety reason.
New Bridge Rd, Shenton Way all has a boarding pt outside e terminal .
Buona Vista Terminal is like a bus park.
There's other weirdo terminals.
Queen St/ Geylang Lor 1, Ghim Moh: Alighting bay w/o shelter, seperated boarding pt.
Kent Ridge: More like a bus stop for e boarding/ alighing pt.
Changi Village: Used to allow boarding for Sv 29 only. Sv 2 used to only allow boarding along main road (bus did not make a detour to pick up ppl at e market). I think as Sv 59, 109 was added, it was eventually 'added' as a pick up point.
Upp East Coast: More of how the service plates are placed.
