I checked One Motoring for SMB137A,no records found.
If minister takes public transport to do routine checks, won't regular commuters blog or mention seeing him on the bus or MRT?
Won't it get Stomped?
Food for thought.

no wayang needed. if SMRT wanted to wayang just for the minister, then 190 would come every 1 minute so that every passenger gets a seat to town.
same goes for 960.
Yea agreed.Everytime wen i go New Bridge Rd Terminal and stand outside,at least 1 bus will come every 3-4 mins immediately. At ard 12pm,1 bus will come lik every 5-6 mins.Tat is the only svc there which arrives so fast.

Compared w/ Sv 61's 45 mins waiting time.
Dunno, but I often see Sv 190 does not have any breaks at NBR, they immediately do return journey.

Do you think the max capacity has been reached whenever the buses are totally packed with people?

Sure but evening time leh?! smetimes when i am at Clarke Quay stn, commuters boarding sv190 BENDY have to stand...
Originally posted by charlize:Do you think the max capacity has been reached whenever the buses are totally packed with people?
may not. Simply because if tat trip has lots of ppl w/ baggage or shopping bags, then max capacity might not be reached at all.

Reminds me
Sv 5, 15, 59 is another heavy demand sv for Kaki Bt corridor. Seriously wondering are there ppl boarding Sv 15 at PSR St 52.
For 190 during PM Peak, seats were taken by passengers waiting for 190 at the stops of Eu Tong Sen St & Hill St and commuters who board after Hill St were made to stand for the whole jouney to Bukit Panjang or Choa Chu Kang.
Sometimes the service is fully packed during the period.
I guess one more scenario is feeders like 238, 291, 410G/W. I'm not citing these services that should or should not deploy DDs to run, but by observing the load and the peak hours, even one or two KUBs can be fully packed with passengers returning home after working hours.

it has happened before, pax count more than 100% of licenced capacity managed to get on the bus... i think it is most likely to happen during morning peak when people are anxious to get to work on time, and there are inoperated trips (breakdown etc).

Got special downroute - YMCA to Choa Chu Kang Int.
If the bus is full, wait for the next 190. You can still get a seat if you wait for 2 or more buses before the Plaza Singapura bus stop. There is bunching up somehow.
He alight at Blk 270 bus stop when the bus becomes full. LOL... He should have tried boarding the bus at Blk 270 bus stop.
If he boarded at Kranji MRT and the bus is already full, shows that something is wrong to begin with.

I think the schedule is too tight if buses straight away return back w/o break at NBR on a regular basis.
