The ERP gantries taught motorists how to plan their route and timing in order to save money and time. The YOG organisers dunno how to plan meh?
They got money to pay for gantry, dun think they would consider about the timing.
Cheers.

In such cases, if you're behind a slow coach, automatically you'll just check shoulder, speed up and overtake. Unless you're driving a fully loaded 400cc engine car. The whole point of driving a car from point A to B is to be as fast as possible, overtake as much as necessary while encompassing safety and abiding traffic rules.

Most probably for those YOG cars, seems like cars for VIPs. YOG buses dun think got this previleges.
Cheers.

There's only 3 lanes on PIE, if the car driving slowly on 2nd lane with 1st lane already a lot of speeding/ overtaking vehicles and 3rd lane with speed limited trucks/ vans, motorists would only be able to overtake when safe at that point of time. I dun think anyone would wanna cause accident and more inconvenient at the point of time bah.
Cheers.

There will surely be a chance to overtake, the only drivers that can be so hesitant to find iniative to overtake are either lady drivers, or farked up drivers.

Nope, I still up for Singapore de. Although it's a bit inconvenient, but I believe public buses would not be much affected.Cheers.
Its not about that... its about the fact that the government is treating us like dogs and ordering us around. I wouldnt mind if they use a softer approach like using campaigns or messages to appeal to the public to give way. It's about the attitude, not the inconvenience.
Hope you understand my point of view.

The same traffic penalties (fine) apply but the organisers are counting on motorists to see it as a part of being gracious hosts.
Thanks for pointing that out.
What else is new??? They always find ways and means to squeeze money out of singaporeans.

What are the places that the YOG vehicles will be frequency using during tat day?

glad u know.
Anyway, do understand that a plan may not always go according to normal, at times there might be traffic jams, or at times there might be ppl who report late to the bus, a give way lane would then help speed up the trip a little.
Also understand that the buses would not be plying around singapore as frequent as the public transport here, thus its less likely that it will cause inconvenience to the public other than for areas near YOV and boon lay.

but if e games timing were to clash w/ AM peak timing it's going to be terrible.
Not to mention Jurong along employs lots of ppl, and close to 100,000 HDB dwelling units are in Jurong East/ West/ West Extn.

From all postings here,
it already explains why the fine is NOT NECESSARY!
Therefore, the way this issue is being handled is really POOR!

Singapore is good at summoning fines at it's citizens......If i had the chance , I would rather migrate to Perth. Singapore = Loads of Housing Estates.
