U doesn't the catch wat i meant, don't u. It ok.
By the way, the amt of tax we are paying depend on hw much we earn not by how must gov is spending.

Understand what u mean. Pay more fine fine fine ma. But u have to understand this is different from bus lane, only when theres the official yog vehicle coming then u have to give way what... no wardens to stand at the side and catch u. only when u stubbonly reluctant to give way then will kenna.
U pay a fixed amt of tax, correct, but the $ is not being spent wisely, shldnt u question the spending?
must give way to this?

Bus lane need. YOG lane no need! LOL.... Cos no give way sign in front.
Beside being efficient and effective in transporting our young olympians to their target destination for their schedule games as gracious host nation, we should also take into consideration the innate pschological feelings of fellow Singapore drivers who are much more older than the young atheletes. It would be human nature without hestitation to give way to an injure person in an ambulance so as to reach the hospital fast enough. The gravity of the issue is, it does not hurt to extend the scheduled hours unless the planned hours are so fixed without any flexible time. The organiser can be creative to come up with "Excuse me" slogan rather than "Give way" to get the motorists to switch lane for the olympic buses.
So Singapore roads are so congested that we need to give way to YOG buses?
i support the idea some singaporeans are way too inconsiderate drivers. Some singaporean drivers dun give way even to ambulance. This did happen b4 the legislation was passed.
with this news, the chances of my attending the YOG event has dropped to zilch.
Then will those YOG buses and cars beat the red light too? Like thoes E vehicles? Lol..
and also why must it be in the middle lane not the left lane?
this is damn dumb lor
the organisers can just advertise kindly give way will do
no need to enforce until like this
this only tells foreigners how ungracious drivers in sg are, which unfortunately is true
Besides, what's the point of "promoting" how "gracious" singaporeans are on our roads, when they will still see the ungracious side in public? doesnt really make sense to me.
kns la
The buses can run up to 60kph nia... Cars can travel 90kph on Expressways.
Then our SBS buses need to give way also?
damn that YOG games....the bloody laws can be twisted at their whim and fancy.

and cause more accidents for all e wayang.
Talk about a heavy-handed approach.
Instead of emblazoning 'GIVE WAY' in capital letters on the buses and threatening to fine motorists who don't, how about putting 'Kindly Give Way' and putting out a press release t politely ask motorists to do so?
Hell, just go out a little bit earlier and bypass roads with known heavy congestion lah! After all, this is Singapore.... the most anyone has to travel is 42 clicks!
All this move has done is to tell the whole world that we have heavy traffic congestion and inconsiderate suicidal drivers who deserve to die horribly in flames.
Though I don't totally disagree about the inconsiderate drivers, though.
Its a lucky thing it doesn't apply to the expressways. Imagine them hogging the centre lane, leaving cars only to the extreme right. Then cars have to drive at 140kph just to make up for the lost lane.
Oh fark, I was wrong, it does apply to the expressways as well.

i agree with you totally. A "plea with the motorists" would have been more proper and considerate than a threat
NTU roads all one-lane.
i give way, i go up pavement is it?
now all cars on lane 1 of expressway. gg.

how to slow down safely to exit e expressway?
simple. just install more ERPs price it at $20 per entry. that would save a whole great deal.
Wah seriously, if the organising committee are afraid that participants would be late, then move off early. Introduce YOG lane would be good, but in another way will cause congestion to traffic. BTW anyone knows the fine? I dun wanna get summons for nothing.
Cheers.
