How do you feel about the air-con in buses whenever you board an air-conditioned bus (excludes VO2x)? Share them here. Is it good or bad?
so far so especially most of the SMRT 0405s I took, the a/c was simply awesome..
the only worse one that I encountered was onboard a svc 51 (iirc) B9 which I can't rmb the rego, the a/c was like a fan with a speed of 0.01..
MK4s, Hispano OACs (not all) and Scania Strider A/C are very freezy at night.
But TIB762S A/C not really strong while taking on 169 last week. (Sorry for my honest feedback)
For SBST dowan too hot can liao, at least to satisfy everyone with the weather in singapore getting so hot nowadays...
For SMRT, Hispano and OCs, their air con damn cold...
SMRT aircon are generally freezing cold.
SBST aircon needs some tuning so that they kick in full blast on a hot afternoon
for me some 92XX, many 93XX, and some 94XX A/C good, sutraks cannot say, SMRT almost all buses strong A/C - SL can control mah

One reason why SBST's buses A/C are not tt cold..... PPL STOMP A/C too cold...... Then SBST go modify the A/C of the new buses (Scanias). Coz , SBST all along very scared STOMP. For SMRT , there are also complains. But , to file a complain , SMRT would ask u to deposit $50 first before they investigate the case.... If it's true , SMRT return ur deposit.... If false , SMRT makan ur $50. Simple as that. BTW , SMRT dun care if their A/C too cold...... Well , these are what my uncle told me..... Having being a SL and a BC before......

Scania A/C sucks....... Gonna miss the A/C of the SBST O405 CAC...... Freezing cold....

AMDEP K230UB Euro 4s are not tt cold...... Avg only........ Like 25 degrees celcius only....
For MK4s, anyone notice that the strength of aircon opposite the exit doors infront of the rear wheels are weaker as compared to the rear. Not because of the doors opening and closing but the flow is generally weaker at that seat.

I find the aircon for some B9s are weaker than the O405s and VO3x.

In the morning SBST A/C freezing but in the afternoon its quite warm in the bus...
some MK IV B10Ms the aircon damn jialat...
took 677E on 985 yesterday afternoon. ac temp is 29.6 macham hot oven pax inside bus complaining. whats worst is the jam along PIE. 38mins from jln jurong kechil to jln toa payoh.
The air should also be dry besides being cool.
I don't like the cold and humid air blowing down at me. It feels sticky, especially when the bus is crowded.

Does engine temperature and air con performance affect each other?
I noted once i took svc 857 from city hall to yishun in the afternoon, the bus was pretty cooling at the start of my journey but after hitting CTE and rushing non-stop till yio chu kang exit, the air con become more of a fan. The air blowing out from the outlet was not cold at all.
Summore the BC went to open the engine cover after finishing svc at the interchange. Oh i forgot to mention, it was a 0405 OAC.
SBS9189G - the front seat is hot. Some people who sat at the front feel the reeks of sweat around their body.
Avoid seating at the front if possible, especially travelling on long routes or full trip, like 168.

That's what I experience it on 168 while seating in the front. Another person sat next to me started taking off his handkerchief cos he's sweating. Sv 168 is also "popular" with ITE Simei/Tampines students who resides in Woodlands.
