No interference from other traffic, dedicated enclosed lane for buses only, cheap and easy to maintain, flexibility to switch to normal roads, faster and more punctual bus rides.
But LTA just don't see the benefits of building one to improve the public bus system. Either they are stubborn, dumb, or ignorant.
Please justify your accusations that LTA is stubborn, dumb and ignorant.
disappointed that the context of my original issue has been twisted. if it's changed because it's outright offensive, i understand. but this is an absolute question, and answers are available. i feel it should not have been neutralised just because moderator doesn't see it as a possibility.

i believe if you're looking purely at demographics of bus drivers, you're not going to get far in the discussion because these accidents have nothing to do with foreign or local bus drivers, nor something as basic as LHD or RHD driving habits.

i understand we want to be as rational as possible in discussion.
freak accidents like tree aside, many other cases are more open to interpretation. it may not be fair as a starting point of investigation, but if an overwhelming proportion of drivers fall under certain categories, this may be something to be revisited.
Gee...why not suspend all bus services? that can be done :)

that's because '8 accidents in 6 weeks.... what can be done?' is not my original question.
my original question was a study of demographics of bus drivers involved in the accidents.

Then this thread that you have started is redundant.
You have to understand something, accidents can happen to anyone or everyone. Questioning the demographics of the bus drivers will make your effort futile and biased as there are only a fraction of foreign bus drivers compared to the local bus drivers around.
I think you should be looking more at the training or other driving related factors of the bus drivers rather than the demographics of them :)
Cheers.
