Volvo Cars no more owned by Ford?
Now the Swedish auto industry has gone nuts. Saab has gone over to Spyker Racing, now Volvo to Geely.
A side note, Volvo Group has assets in Japan too.

When young, i diffrenciate LO3X and VO3X by the centre screw of the drive rim. If flat means LO, screw nut means VO... Last time LO used to have the word LEYLAND at the nut there... I missed VOs and LOs with red rims...
I used to look out for the diagonal badge on the front. All Volvo vehicles have the diagonal.
So long Leylands... BooHoo...

Between Kallang to Eunos used to be the worst stretch. Heavy traffic.

That's an impressive list. Which of them is your favourite to drive? Are the old ones better or the new ones? Please share your experience in driving the different models. I'm very interested to hear about them. Thanks.

The Victories are strictly speaking not quite Leyland. However, the Vikings carried the Leyland badges too even though they came from Albion.
Ashok Leyland was an Indian offshoot of BL, now independent. It still produces the Viking based on old-school blueprints.
British Leyland wasn't sold to Vovlo, British Leyland became Rover Group which then hived off its bus and truck businesses by selling them off. Rover then focused on cars and through some means disintegrated even more to a state that it is hard to really find any quintessentially British car manufacturer now (MG Rover was sold to the Chinese).
It really showed how big and filmsy British Leyland was - the diseconomies of scale did it in, and Margaret Thatcher was determined (and largely succeeded) to end such ineffiencies in the British economy (by disbanding and privatising that large number of previously nationalised (and merged) companies), which saw the number of strike days decrease and better quality products being produced.

It was 1996, when I first started driving. I cannot recall the registration no.

The B10M has the best acceleration. But handling the O405 is better. Steering is lighter and brakes are good. Top speed most at that time can easily hit 90 to 95km/h
