SJE Bus services

  I wonder why SJE bus operators do not issue children/students tickets travelling from Jb to Singapore? They are made to pay adult fee, which I think against the law! Anyone experience this before?

  SJE is an express bus service. They charge RM2.50 from JB and $2.50 from Singapore regardless of student or adult . Like our SBST Premium Services, they charge flat fare. How far you go, they dun care.

   

   

  Do have to comment that the buses for SJE are majority scanias. They do have some nostalgic MAN 16.240 operating  but these MANs will be withdrawn soon as their lifespan expiry dates range from this year to next year.

  There used to be S$1.20 or RM1.20 student fare for SJE. fyi, even LTA/ PTC has decided to intro concession fares for express svs wef 3 July.

  In any case, SJE charges S$2.40 & RM2.40. The RM2.50 you claim only applies to CW2. They raised e fare by 10 sen after KL raised fuel prices from RM1.58 to RM2.50 back in 2008.

  in short, you pay a flat rate of 30¢ extra for every express/FFw trip on top of the distance fare. adult care users pay 60¢ extra for every express/FFw trip.
