they are saying that the KUB is too fragile... so cant take the road condition in JB.. low floor is one issue, but i dun think that is a factor also... our cars are also low floor mah.. there are also a lot of cars with low bumper etc..

Useful for people who takes 160/170. Cause people would be very tired at that time and need some massage :D

I've seen those in Penang too. Thought they were K230UBs. Turned out to be K270UB. Slight exterior changes
issue is tat some roads near e old CIQ has potholes tat are quite big and deep.
den how about 950, when Mercedes-Benz O405 is going to be replaced in 2011. Aren't they replace this bus with OC500LE, K230UB, Citaro, Yutong, or Dennis Lance (They may not want to use DDs because of the shorter route).

OR Volvo B9TL / Eclipse Gemini (for route 170)?

KUBs got riser.... BC can activate it..... But , the whole bus looks weird when riser is activated.

Most of them.... Coz 5 cylinder engine nia..... Originally 6 cylinder 1. Even my uncle from SBST told me no use complaining the vibration.... Can only complain A/C.... Nowadays all the new batch of K230UBs all A/C modified. >.<

The whole bus almost matches the K230UBs in SG.... But slight changes as u stated.
Originally posted by SinkTel:Yeap it's not that bad as we put it out to be. However, if KUB were to deployed, they would need to lower the hump at the checkpoint but dun think it will happen in the near future :)
kubs have the riser to handle such conditions
i believe e situation is similar as to kubs entering changi airport.

Yeah la! Go in AP sure to activate riser 1......
I think should be B10M MK4 WA Striders. SBST might not want to put their new KUBs on this service.
SBST Might not wanna waste their NEW KUBs On the Cross Border Service

How u know? Striders are limited....

Its Just My opinion. And i seriously Doubt that the SBST will Use KUBs. Double Deckers Cfm Not use for Cross Border. Later so pack the bus, Take years to alight.
I saw SBS1960Z with its exit doors painted in red and white which is like those on Cross-border service buses. I wonder will this bus be deployed on Cross-border services in the future?

unless it gets redeployed to BBDEP then maybe..

SMRT doesn't have any K230UB , only L113CRL.
