Its better than 963R. I personally find that the bus route has too many stops.
I live in Bukit Panjang and has 963R at my doorstep, but I probably consider 188R over 963R. Lesser stops. 188R seems more direct.
But one thing - the frequency sucks... 40 mins is way too long.
20 mins would be nice =)
as expected
there will be 188R =)
855R when? Haha... Start from Sembawang maybe?

854R more possible.
If have 855R, best deploy Citaro, otherwise it will be very sad :(

Then 854R go where??
188R never plies Clementi Ave 6/Commonwealth Ave West, but straight away go AYE via JE St 11, Jurong Town Hall Road.
So is there a need to abolish RWS 88 now?
Wonder would they deploy, x-fer some of WLDEP SP Merczs to KJDEP. Just a spectulation only.

I agree with u, need to have 855R. Better to start from Sembawang interchange.
Suggested route as follows:-

KJDEP should rope in all the spare OC500LEs instead.

You may wish to consider the profitability of services under the casino branding.

What's the point when the primary resources are allocated to better serve the public bus commuters instead? All these services are secondary. SBST can introduce such services if they have more than enough resources in future.
Better as compared to giving crap buses that are tearing apart because of constant poor maintanance and supposed to be scrapped long ago old UDs and not road worthy ELBOs for public basic services, and divert the new buses to secondary bus services instead. Worse, they don't even bother to buy a few more new buses to replace these old buses. Such irresponsible company just don't know how to priortise what is their primary purpose of operations.
