Yah. the MAN actually has 3 EDS like SMB135E. Its design is half coach, half SBS8031J. Saw it long many weeks ago when unregistered.
from what i saw in the news... I guess it is bodied in malaysia with the MAN Lion's Coach bodywork... I shall be going to MBS this friday to get some pictures of the bus...
the MBS shuttle buses were parking at Queenstown Hostel carpark as of yesterday
to be specific, the model is this: MAN 14.280 HOCL-R (A67)
I find MAN buses quite good...... Good choice if the management of MBS orders more.

At least they dun use Scanias like RWS do. I rather they spam MAN than KUB
Looks very much like The Venetian MANs. Likely a Scomi product.
Marina Bay Sands Airport Shuttle
MAN 14.280 HOCL-R (equipped with 60 kph speed limiter)
Operates at 10 min frequency

$25 from Airport to MBS? how about from MBS to airport?
wah. the relativeness of price taking bus and taxi into town is the same if you're alone.
imagine 4 tourists kuku.. land already, "oh there's a bus to MBS." $25 x 4 = $100.

i rather take 36 from airport and walk/transfer bus to MBS... it may be time consuming abit but no need to spend until $25... unless some giao gui cannot wait to lose money then they dont mind spending...

At least its a convienience for tourists/locals who wants to go there but don't know how or that they just want a point-to-point service, not to forget that at least you get a proper compartment for your luggage on the MBS Coach unlike boarding a public bus. Of course you would need to pay more to enjoy these extra perks though ... ...
well taxis does not cost that much and the service may be better than buses... but if it is from malaysia to MBS i dont mind paying more
S$25 should be for non-guests of MBS. The shuttle is complimentary for their guests.

from the facebook photos of JomNaikBas, isn't it the same as those Gemilang "Lion's Star"?
i guess it is the same...

Bodywork based on Lion's Star/Fortuna. The bodywork of the bus is more of Scomi's product rather than Gemilang. Compare to that of the Golden Diamond coach and the new RWG shuttle bus which were built by Scomi.

Compartment eh? I rmb the KUBs oso have such perks too and with 36 a full KUB fleet, I see no problem for the tourists to place their luggage onto the space right behind the granny seats. I did that once on my way to the airport for a vacation on a KUB 27. It didn't fall off!

The body dosen't seems to satisfy my eyes :D
I rather ask SC autos to body the MAN 14.280 if I were the buyer..... SC Evolution looks just as stylish.
