  I just feel that DM3500 is too good for 35. Actually, I like Striders for their ability to speed fast when starting from idle due to ZF. And I like DM3500 for their quiet Voith Gearbox. After all, I believe DM3500 uses the same engine as the Strider.

  I agree with you. VO2x on 168 even better. When VO2x speeds down the eway at night, it will be colder than AC at the upper deck.

  nope. DM3500 is far more powerful than Striders. DM3500 use DH10A, horsepower rating at 285bhp, while Strider is TD102KF at 245bhp, but Striders are more powerful at first due to the strong pickup of ZF, yet DM3500's power comes in a few seconds after pickup.

  This website https://vrl.lta.gov.sg/lta/vrl/action/pubfunc?ID=EnquireTransferFee says that SBS2700B's engine number is THD102KF9030668 and it says SBS1940G uses THD102KF51160892. SBS2700B is a DM3500 while SBS1940G is a Strider. So isn't DM3500 and Strider uses THD102KF? DM3500 and Strider somehow sounds similar to me.

  Mk3 could do the job, remember that NAC were deployed in the service at all time, adding in the air-con one is just for passengers to relax, do not complain about the seats, and DM3500 could be place else where, it was a good bus with good body work, if you want more spaces for passengers, put in a vo2x might have solved the problem already or a 113 or 0405  should also be enough as passengers had spaces to stand, I suggested Mk3 was just for the sake of comfort.
