  Halfway thru the Bt Panjang handover, when some services 179, 184 etc had been handed over to TIBS but service 171 was still waiting for handover, the following buses went perm on 171 for a while until 171 was handed over to TIBS:

  Memories of the NAC DM O405's on 171 were sketchy but I remember a few:

  Reason being that I had always skipped the NAC's and waited for the OAC's
  
  Service 171 was also the very first useful PAC service introduced into Yishun Interchange (aside from the almost useless old TIBS FAC service 857 that went from Yishun to Admiralty Rd West, comprised only of 3 buses). The first proper aircon service for Yishunites was by SBS and not TIBS! Service 854 followed only after (a short while after) service 171.

  But, 851 turned PAC on 1st nov 94. And I took all the TIB42x's.

  854 turned PAC late 1993 or early 1994. 854 got all the UD's. 171 would be late 1993 or early 1994 too.

  SBS787 first service was Service 10, then it went to perm 90 and 94, then got transfer back and on 10, then, perm 7. I can't really remember but you could correct me as I saw a bunch of no. on SBS787's dashboard visor.

  you are wrong
  it was perm on Sv 151... together with SBS783 to SBS796 if i remember clearly. later all transferred out..

  The most amazing ones are the SBS44X something Merc, originally 130, I think one or two still perm 130 currently, 446Z one of them. 16+ years perm on 130.

  Service 854 was the first Tibs service to become PAC, somewhere in late 1993, when the OAC Nissan UDs came into service.
  
  For service 171, it was SBS that converted it into a PAC service. The service used SBS' NAC and OAC Merz buses from AMDEP. Tibs took over service 171 only in 1995, where NAC Nissan SCNs and OAC Hispano Merz were deployed. All of service 171's NAC Nissan fleets were redeployed to Scania ELBOs only in mid 1996.
